Jumping away from the dizzying heights of HT, we come to the crazy world of Little Stompers.
Little Stompers are one of those factions that even at a low rank made a huge ruckus, and it wasn't just from them stamping their feet and making a mess (although from what this reporter gathers from members, TheCheesinater [1629870] does a lot of that). This reporter was also impressed as soon as he started interviewing them, as they were the only faction he interviewed that remember the exact day that the faction was created: 7 June 2013. TheCheesinater created the faction and when he and other members were interviewed about how the name was chosen, he gave two different answers.
The first is the marketable version: The name is kind of representative of what we stand for. We're small in stature but, somehow, manage to throw our weight around. Then there is the, well, lets say 'lackluster' version: It was a simple online generator which gave us the name. Out of fear of getting another more mysterious answer, we laid it to rest (though, this reporter favors the random generator).
TheCheeseinater and Rekker [1761] were part of BC-Vulpes Vulpes before creating Little Stompers. According to TheCheeseinater, he was told he was slacking after only managing to be the second highest hitter in a war. However, there were many members that had been in the faction for years that had made zero attacks, commonly referred to as dead weights, which were kept. This did not sit right with many in the faction and resulted in TheCheesinater and Rekker joining hands, rage-quitting and creating Little Stompers.
The Little Stompers have a surprisingly rare, but common-sense approach to chaining. They pick a faction special they would like, chain until they have enough respect to upgrade it, then upgrade. It was also refreshing to find a faction that wasn't hell-bent on making their way up the ranks of HOF. Little Stompers aimed to stay under rank 2,000. However, in the pursuit of Faction Respect, they found themselves climbing the ranks quite by accident. They fought many wars with the likes of Calculated, Trigger Happy, Evil Little F00kers and DropBears, but the wars that stood out were the ones where they were supposed to be filler factions. Filler factions are factions that stronger faction declare on to attack and build up their chains. In Little Stompers' early days, which -being just over a year old- is just a couple of months ago, stronger factions would pick them as a "filler faction", and soon found themselves on the losing side of a war that wasn't expected to happen. Their mid-sized roster and low rank caught a great number of factions by surprise. Even the likes of JUX HQ and Devastation (now The Saints) fell prey to their chaining prowess.
The rocket-like ascent of Little Stompers resulted in many offers of mergers from other factions. Even I had to resist offering them a merger with the faction I am in, despite hearing they were not looking for mergers. We resisted making an offer. Within the first week of Little Stompers being created, they received a merger offer worth $600,000,000 - just one week after they started!
Like many factions, newsletters and competitions keep members motivated. However, down at Little Stompers they also find motivation from abusing their supreme leaders and showing them up by outscoring them during wars, all in good fun, of course.
Finally, it could have all been very different for Little Stompers. TheCheesinator maintains to this day that It Aint Easy Being Cheesy would have been a better name, and had this happened, who knows where they would be today. Just maybe number one in the Hall of Fame.
