The weeks seem to be flying by recently, and I barely have time to reflect on what went on in the week. So for a little fun and enjoyment I thought I would share with you fine, and not so fine, citizens of Torn what I have been doing in our city as of late.
My time on Torn has, unfortunately, been rather limited lately and my events page is starting to look like this more and more regularly, which is worrying:

Sometimes I see the "Events" tab highlighted with one new event only to find an event from 5-7 hours ago telling me I had taken an Xanax. However, if you looked closely at the picture above, the more observant among you will have noticed the red box in the middle of all those Xanax events, where someone tried to attack me. After dealing 498 damage and receiving 2371 damage, thought to themselves "I just might not win this attack". It happens to the best of us; the amount of times I start an attack only to be thoroughly beaten. (Hint for new players: check a player personal stats before attacking, if they have a much higher Xanax taken, refills and activity than you then you are likely to lose.) Of course, this isn't always the case, and you can often find a few gem players that you can use to power level.
The failed run brought me more happiness due to the fact that it was in Switzerland, which meant the attacker had to stick around in hospital abroad for their efforts. My amusement level increased still as a faction mate ended up hospitalizing the failed attacker leaving them stranded abroad for even longer. It really is the little things that make you smile the most in Torn. What are the little things that make you smile in Torn?
My happiness level did level off eventually on my next trip to Switzerland:

Fortunately for me my rehab bill only came to about $14,000,000 so I had enough to fully rehab, but I shall forever mourn my lost $2,483,850.
My bank investment finished this week and so I contemplated upgrading my vault to an extra large one, for the piles of money I don't have. For me, buying something is not always a simple affair. After my investment ended I had around $500,000,000 in my vault and $200,000,000 extra that obviously would not fit in my large vault. As is typical behavior for me, I decided to gamble my way up to $215,000,000 (cost of the extra large vault). Two months earlier I did a similar thing to try and get my $379,940,000 (interest from bank investment) to a nice round number - unfortunately, the round number was "0". But this time was different, this time I only needed $15,000,000, this time I was wiser, this time I was ready to win - and win I did! In fact I won exactly $19,500,000, so the extra $4,500,000 made the mugging earlier in the week easier to swallow.
The week went on and the excitement peaked when I decided to search the city for items. I proceeded to highlighting the page.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy, that does look oddly like a very radioactive substance formed from nuclear fission of uranium-235 and other fissionable isotopes...Turns out it was a tracking device. I am starting to regret the six merits I put into "awareness" after the city find update.
That about sums up my week in Torn...well that and some BETA thing.
