An employee of Torn's Casino whose rant against a customer went viral online last week has been told he may have to seek alternate employment should he engage in any further outbursts.
Leslie Chanthavong, 38 and originally from Laos, has been a popular figure in Torn of late thanks to his vicious barbs dispensed towards customers of the Casino's Spin The Wheel game. But after his latest comments were uploaded online, Leslie faced a stern rebuke from the Casino's management, albeit for a rather peculiar reason.
"Everyone here loves Leslie's unique brand of charm, and its no secret we're loving the attention he brings to our casino, but he's been told twice now to only make fun of people whilst he's on the job. For example, if he'd performed that obscene impression of the Lord Jesus to those visiting clergymen while he was on his lunch hour they might think he meant it, but when he's behind his wheel everyone knows it's just a bit of fun. In his own time we expect Leslie to maintain some decorum, but on the job, anything goes."
The incident in question occurred whilst Mr Chanthavong was taking a cigarette break outside. He was filmed telling a woman she looked fat, and after being informed she was actually pregnant the Laotian remarked that he "hope it no grow up with husband lazy eye because then they have to throw it out in trash", before then offering the couple two-for-one drinks to "grease the wheels".
Leslie's antics have divided opinion amongst internet commentators, with some believing he went too far, whilst others hailed Mr Chanthavong as an unlikely spokesperson for a woman's right to choose. So far the casino has stuck by the fork-tongued croupier thanks to the extra business his offensive insults bring, and with customers flying in from across the country to be told you look like the before guy in a commercial for not-being-an-a**hole cream, it seems the enigmatic Laotian is clearly here to stay.
