Hildegarde Breaks Stat Record

On the 18th of March, JFA member Hildegarde announced that he had hit 1 billion stats in just 370 days. Torn City does not record data regarding how fast a player achieves their battle stats, so we cannot confirm whether this is indeed a record, but it seems to be commonly accepted among the people that Hildegarde has indeed beaten the previous figure of 450+ days.

Having browsed the statistics of players who are just slightly younger than Hildegarde, I can confirm that this record will stand for some time at least, since his nearest challenger joined our city in July 2017 and holds a paltry 173million in battle stats. What a pathetic, weak b***ard. So how exactly did Hildegarde achieve such a feat? How could a complete novice develop a stat-boosting regime that would make most players chew their own lips off with envy?

The answer to this is deceptively simple. Hildegarde is a restart.

"I was previously UrumiKanzaki and in my time on my 'first' run I pretty much learned everything there was to be learned. I was in REDACTED FACTION for the most part, so they were very adamant about training and all."

"On my first month or less there I was essentially running flowers. I soon realized there was poker to be played, so I took a 100m loan from Duke and made it 5b in 10 daysI was using FHCs, paying 1b to David to live in the Royal Penthouse and was training like a madman, thinking I was really strong."

"Compared to my current stats progression, my first run was nothing but I was still pretty proud back then."

Post interview, Hildegarde asked for the name of his old faction to be redacted from this article due to their apparent dislike of publicity. Since he is no longer a member of the same faction, Hildegarde feels it would not be right to mention them. I have agreed to this request because I am lovely.

Under the name UrumiKanzaki, Hildegarde joined Torn in March 2015, but he lasted less than a year before self-fedding due to a $40 billion loss incurred over just one day in games of Russian Roulette against Oogee and Deathpulse. Hildegarde noted how these two players both seemed to have a limitless supply of money in their matches against him. It later transpired that the pair were heavily involved in a Real Money Trading ring.

By the time this news came out, UrumiKanzaki was long gone. And having left his previous faction with a parting gift of over $9 billion, he swore never to return to Torn City ever, ever again. Super pinky swears, period.

This feeling lasted a week, but Hildegarde's new account was handed a 365-day stealth fed shortly afterwards when a legitimate Donator Pack transaction went awry. At this point, Hildegarde resolved to walk away forever ever double quitsies no backsies.

"I missed the game tho, it's a masterpiece. I've always been attracted to numbers, calculations, projections; if I had a game I would pick to always play and never play anything else, it would be Torn."

"So 370 something days ago I came back. Made a 2xDP purchase for 10$, sold them and sat at poker. I made my first billion that same day at age 0. At age 30 I had around 12 billions and you can track down the rest of my NW projection."

Hildegarde began his stat race with Xanax and happy stacking. Having decided to invest all his cash in training, he then started renting the Queen Eleanor unique property from David for $1 billion a month. These days, Hildegarde's daily regimen includes three hits of Xanax, a refill, three Feathery Hotel Coupons plus a Stat Enhancer with further SEs munched depending on how his gambling career is going that day. Anyone who wishes to follow Hildegardes full training program can do so by reading his guide post here.

However, you should be warned that Hildegardes methods will cost you a lot of money. To achieve similar results under identical conditions, one may be forced into selling their nudes in exchange for Skateboards. Hildegarde told me his training alone has cost him $50 billion this year, and while gambling remains his most lucrative source of income (including $17.6 billion on the lottery several months ago), he has nevertheless lost an estimated $16 billion at roulette and a further $30 billion at the bookies.

It seems that those who desire high stats must either have a rich daddy or a penchant for risky endeavours.

Despite the costs involved, Hildegarde says he followed every single step of this regime from a base of zero stats. He wrote this guide back in November when he capped his stats in what he believes to be a record time of 252 days. Capping your stats refers to the point where your individual battle stats reach 50 million each. Below 50 million, the gains you can achieve in the gym increase as you gradually acquire higher stats. Above 50 million, your trains in the gym remain the same amount forever and ever amen.

Hildegarde detailed this particular achievement here, and he believes it was far harder to build from 0 to 200 million than it was to gain 1 billion in stats. But now that the magic one billion figure has been reached, how long will it take before Hildegarde can sock Bodybagger in the jaw and leave more than a mere smirk on the heavyweight's jaw?

"With the progression of SE's, the stats themselves explode pretty damn quick doubling up on themselves, so I really am confident that in the next year I can reach more than 10b total. It's all based on how the SE's will play out. I plan to use them on Speed; once it's high enough, I will go for the other ones. My ultimate goal is to balance them in a reasonable way."

"As for the when, considering speed is at 500m and I'm at 1b total, I plan to hit 2b total in the next 2-4 months, depending on the SE availability and a lot of other factors, so let's say 3 months. After that the stats snowball pretty hard. In another 2 months Speed will reach 4b, another 2 months is 8b and so on and so forth."

Hildegarde references the two-month figure as he believes it is a realistic period within which he could feasibly use 70 Stat Enhancers the number required to double up any one stat. His goal is to reach 32 billion within twelve months, and Hildegarde believes he'll easily reach the top 100 in Proximas Battle Stats list by this time in 2019. But what other milestones are there for this budding stat monster to hit, and when might he achieve them?

Early October seems a realistic target for Hildegarde to hit the 8 billion+ figure which would take him above Torn's top money guy Hell_Fire in 100th place, and most likely a few others too, unless the likes of Htr, Madmiketyson and Westend go on a stat-boosting spree. From there, it should be easy work to rise up the rankings and enter the top 50, given that the current holder of that position is Chunger on just 9.92 billion stats.

If 32 billion can be achieved by March 2019 this would put Hildegarde 12-14th, other player activity pending, with his faction-mate Deft the highest JFA representative in the list in 10th with 56.58 billion stats. The next milestone to hit would be the 1.4 trillion stats held by Duke, which he should be able to surpass by Spring 2020. After that, the jump is absolutely chonging, with Sifonjerce's 151 trillion stats in Hildegardes sights sometime between April and June 2021.

Bodybagger's 366.7 trillion would then be the final target. If Hildegarde can persist with his expensive regime and nobody else manages to maintain a similar trajectory, he could end up being the most powerful player in Torn City by the summer of 2021. To achieve this would take a considerable amount of dedication, but if anyone is going to do it, my money would be on this record-breaking gambling addict for sure.

Unless he loses all his cash at roulette and restarts again.
