The Return of the Torn Crossword

ArttiIsGod [1954421]
ArttiIsGod's brain-squelching puzzle column returns...but for how long?
Ladies and gentlemen, you can stop crying for I have returned to bring you the results of our previous crossword, as well as a brand new puzzle to tide you over until my next appearance on these pages. Where have I been? Let's just say it is not much fun being handcuffed to a radiator in a Laotian man's basement. I can reveal no more.

First of all, let's have a little gander at our previous crossword, which was something of a beast let me tell you. The answer to the puzzle as revealed by the letters in the numbered squares was "Hey Joe, where you going with that gun of yours, tell me." However, several eagle-eyed readers pointed out that the word "you" was misspelt as "yuu" since the clue in square 71 was located on the U of "Spaced out" and not the O.

So what's the deal here? Were we trying to catch out people who have been filling in the blanks instead of solving the whole thing? Let's just say yes to maintain the illusion of competence, shall we? Whittlinman was one of those who pointed this error out, and he was also the first person to respond with the correct answer. Bravo to him. He receives two goodie bags in return for his efforts.

Only ten people in total managed to solve this mega crossword, meaning that anyone who did stood a great chance of winning a prize. The five correct entries chosen as runnererer-upperers were made by Mega_Mindy, Joxer, cat2001, chris_robbins and shadowshade. Well done you clever sods, you'll receive one gift from a selection consisting of Poison Mistletoe, Rosary Beads, a Motorcycle Helmet, Donator Pack or a Shabti Sculpture.

Of course, there's one more prize to be handed out, and that is the award for the best handwritten crossword. With such a chonging great puzzle posed this was a big ask, but NurseNoonch's effort was clearly the best, and she wins five Feathery Hotel Coupons to enjoy with her lover, mother, brother or friend.

So of the ten people who entered the competition with correct answers, seven of them won a prize. Must suck to be the three who missed out, huh? You'd think we'd cave in and give them something, wouldn't you? But we're just not that generous. Besides, there's another chance for those poor losers to win big coming right up, as we take a goose at the next Torn City Crossword.

Don't let its size fool you, for this puzzle, much like my gentleman's portion, is fiendishly difficult to master. A larger version of the image can be smuggled upon your person from this link here. Oh, and what are the clues you ask?
