Citizen initiative sees sales event take place in Torn for very first time. List of participating bazaars and timeslots provided. Bloodshed expected, demanded.
After years of non-existent campaigning, the phenomenon of Black Friday shopping has finally arrived in Torn City, thanks to the entrepreneurial efforts of Torn City News anchor Kata. For the duration of Friday, November 23rd, various bazaars across the city will be offering a range of products for the astonishing price of one solitary dollar, including weapons, alcohol, medical supplies and rare items. Queues are not expected, but violence is, with those standing in line set to be gunned down without mercy to allow less polite individuals a chance to grab a bargain.

Kata told the Torn City Times that the idea for this venture "popped into my head while I was taking a shower the one day", a statement which implies Kata thinks about Torn in the shower, and she only washes herself occasionally on "the one day". Personal hygiene aside, Kata's event has been well received by the citizens of Torn, but she was initially concerned that some bazaar owners may not turn up and that all of her slots would not be filled - an unsettling turn of phrase from a pregnant woman.
To remedy this, the Torn City Times offered each of the participating bazaar owners a $25 million fee to ensure their attendance, and Kata's remaining slots were soon overflowing with offers to be filled. Twenty-four bazaars have now agreed to run a $1 promotional event for at least one hour tomorrow, with the likes of Hopslam, CapturerHulkmad and even Duke joining Kata to participate in Torn's inaugural Black Friday.
Kata hopes that in future, she may be able to attract many more bazaars to this event, but for now, Black Friday will see just one bazaar take part per hour, with dollar items set to be offered at various points throughout their 60-minute allocation.
