Welcome to the second edition of the Torn City Times' Who Wants to Be a Multimillionaire competition! This month's contest has a grand prize of $100 million, with a further $100 million being split between four runner-ups.
But first, let's look back at the first installment of this competition, which was a huge success, as 176 people entered in total - far more than I anticipated. However, despite the huge number of participants, in the end, only three people gave us all the correct answers. Do the people of Torn really pay attention to anything besides plushies and Xanax?
One of the three people who had done their homework was our winner, jukka. He was the 47th person to send his answers in but the first to get them all right, with his winning submission coming 2.5 hours after the competition had started. We caught up with jukka to ask how he did it and what he spent his winnings on.
How are you so knowledgeable, jukka?
"Well, I stay away from global and GD and I solve 3 sudoku puzzles every day."
How exactly did you do it?
"I went through some old forum posts and announcements, used TornStats as well, and copied like 10 questions from my old friend who was too impatient to double check so he sent them in too early with a few wrong (shoutout to WalkingTarget)"
And finally, how did you spend your winnings?
"I gave some of it to WalTar for his sacrifice and to be honest, the rest of it is just sitting around in my vault lol"
Honorable mentions must also go to our two runner-ups KatyPatra and Vanta_Black. They sent their answers one after the another as the 99th and 100th contestants to do so when the competition had already been running for six hours. This serves as a great example that even though speed matters, it is more important to take your time and do your research. Well done to both of you!
