10% boost to Museum points payouts in effect from noon Friday. Bonus ends at noon Sunday. Details of event posted in article subtitle to the detriment of its view count.
Torn's annual Museum Day points boost returns this Friday, with its traditional 10% increase to donation payouts set to apply for twice as long this year, making a complete mockery of the use of the word "day" in the event's title.

For those of you who are unaware, The Torn City Museum of Stolen Foreign Treasures, to give it its full name, pays out points to those who present them with certain items or sets of items. Players must have completed the History Studies Education Bachelor to gain access to the Museum - because we don't want any riff-raff in there - but once you have done so, a wealth of money-making opportunities awaits those who like to spend their weekends robbing sovereign nations of their distinct cultural heritage.
If, for example, you were able to collect each of the thirteen plushies scattered throughout Torn and various foreign nations, you could usually exchange these for a haul of ten points, which would be worth anywhere between $470,000 and $490,000 depending on whether you sold them to the Pawn Shop or on the Points Market. However, over the Museum Day weekend, a 10% bonus will be applied to this figure, giving you eleven points and an extra few grand in your pocket to spend on drug pipes, toasted cheese and polyamorous spa retreats.
A full list of the items which can be sold to the Museum can be found here in the Torn Wiki. As you can see, while trading flowers and plushies may only reward you with one extra bonus point this weekend, you could receive between ten and fifty extra points if you're able to get your hands on a sculpture of Vairocana, Ganesha or Shabti. And if that wasn't good enough, then citizens can prove their dedication to religious intolerance by pilfering scripts from the Quran, with a full set of these holy texts paying out 1,100 points during the Museum Day event.

Pictured: If you're short of the final script, just ask these red pill edgelords for a hand. Sadly, they'll be all too happy to help, after they've been good boys and tidied their rooms.
But if you'd rather avoid angering the one true God and / or Gods, 2,200 points will be offered to anyone who collects an entire game of Senet, with one board and five black and white pieces each needed to complete this set. But the best use of the 10% Museum Day boost would be to donate a prized Egyptian Amulet, as the typical reward of 10,000 points will now be boosted to 11,000 points. This equates to roughly $528,000,000 give or take, with the cheapest amulet on the market currently being sold for $600,000,000.
The return of Museum Day should prove a boon to the Torn economy, contrary to suggestions from some uneducated dolts who believe that this event has a negative effect on the price of points. A cursory glance at the value graph for points clearly shows this idea to be equine excretia, as while points did suffer a small drop around the time of Museum Day 2018, this was part of a downward trend that had begun several days earlier - one which was rectified and resulted in points surging to a twelve-month high on June 15th.

Pictured: Are you a moron if you believe Museum Day broke the points market? Indubitably.
The Torn City Museum of Stolen Foreign Treasures has confirmed that this temporary 10% boost to point payouts will begin at noon Torn City Time on Friday the 17th of May, and will run until the same time on Sunday the 19th. Citizens are urged to donate as many plushies, flowers and artefacts as they can over this time period, but are advised to refrain from submitting other historical items such as the Elgin Marbles or Boudica's wrought iron moon cup, as these objects will not be accepted, and the staff will give you a proper evil glare if you try.
