Hello dearies. It's awfully sticky out in Torn City right now, so Aunty's taken some time in the shade to answer some of your queries. And for those who are wondering, no, Aunty won't be entering Mr and Ms Torn this year. She did receive a lot of unwanted encouragement in her inbox, mind, including an offer from Nova to run his "definitely regular-sized hands" all over her "experienced form". But Aunty's flesh-bearing days are over. So in lieu of her sparkling red ruby going on display, here are her pearls of wisdom instead.

I am a player that is not much more than a year old, and for the most part, I play this game silently. The only people who would recognize me are the ones in my faction, my job, or who frequent certain forums.
My question is this: If I were to decide I wanted to get my name out to as many people as possible as quickly as possible, but without being intrusive or a troll/scammer, how would I do it?

Dear Anonymous,
You could always join a really active faction that has a forum presence. Actively participating in hot forum threads is a good way to make a name for yourself, whether good or bad.
Best of luck!

Dear Aunty Torn,
What to do when your wife doesn't love you?
Grungex
Dear Grungex,
If you mean in real life, you should stop playing so much torn and seek counselling. If you mean on Torn, she’s really a man so it’s probably for the best! Aunty Torn knows a few single ladies at the home who would love to take care of you!
Best of luck!

At what point do I, as an employer, consider an employee inactive enough for dismissal? I feel that your answer will probably be 'personal discretion', but what I really need is an actual number for days inactive. Then firing them becomes your fault, not mine. Ok thanks.
SirBunny
Dear SirBunny,
Depending on the company you run, finding active, drug-free, good working stat employees can be very difficult. If you have employees that go inactive for a few days at a time every few weeks but are drug-free with good stats, it’s probably best to hold onto them. Always watch player efficiency stars on the employee page and if they frequently drop below 5 stars, it’s best to replace them. This can be deceiving though because high working stat players might retain 5* longer. One thing to remember is if they are drug users, it drastically impacts your income, even if they maintain 5* and are active.
Find a good replacement, boot them and send them an appreciative message for their loyalty for the time they spent with you.
Best of luck!

Dear Aunty Torn,
I am a fairly new faction leader and have only room for one territory. Whenever I can I try to find a new territory to take over so I can get the daily respect from it. But of course this brings attention and I have had my fair share of wars. Looking at the statistics of the wars, it seems like I'm the only one in my faction who ever really participates. My question is this, should I abandon this faction and look for a better one? I have a lot of friends in this group and have put a lot of time and energy to get it where it is, but I do not want to be the only one working for a greater goal.

Dear Anonymous,
There are plenty of low and mid-tier factions you and your friends could merge into that would better suit your playstyle. The downside of this is losing the faction bank access and leadership role you have. All great leaders have to start somewhere and great factions start from hard work, even when times get tough and they get discouraged. Up to you, just be upfront with your group. You could always plan faction competitions to encourage activity and motivate them, or recruit more active players!
Best of luck!

Aunty,
My real life spouse keeps on wondering why I keep a 2 am alarm every day to take a bathroom break. I don't have the heart to tell her that I have a Torn spouse and that alarm enables me to train in the gym rather than allow it to go waste. Am I cheating my spouse in real life?
Arishtam
Hi Arishtam,
As long as your real spouse shouldn't be concerned with your in-game spouse, Aunty doesn't see an issue with keeping on top of your training! Just make sure you get a good night's rest so you can get your work done during the daytime! Maybe you'll be able to impress your real spouse with your impressive Torn stats in the future! I think a lot of people can relate to hiding Torn from people in their life.
Good luck!

Thanks again to everyone who sent in their questions recently, a Donator Pack is on its way to all of you who were published this week. Aunty's ever so grateful for the letters you write to her. She loves how some of you even go so far as to include a sample of your hair in the envelope. Please keep sending in your questions via the newspaper's Tell Your Story feature with the title AUNTY TORN.
Aunty's going to slather herself in suncream to keep her skin looking all dewy now - she passes for 70 on a good day - but she'll be back in August with more answers to your never-ending curiosities. Ta ta for now!

How do you become popular? How inactive is too inactive? And when should a leader give up on their faction? Aunty Torn answers all these questions and more - well, two more.
