Gamblers rejoice as odds offered on the latest Ultimate Racing Tournament. Read on to find out who to bet on, how to bet, why to bet, and whence you may bet.
Did you miss out on qualification for the Ultimate Racing Tournament and the chance to win billions of dollars in prize money? Tough luck slowpoke. But don't go crying into your piping hot cereal just yet, because thanks to Digger67 and Garfthegreat, the URT Betting House is now open, giving you and everyone else the chance to win big by predicting the results of the Ultimate Racing Tournament.

The URT Betting House is a player-run bookie system which operates independently of Torn City, providing gamblers with an opportunity to win millions of dollars by backing one or more of the thirty-six qualified drivers. The Torn authorities have no control over this system and will not intervene should shenanigans occur. Please note that any bets are made at your own risk.
However, the two players running the Betting House have shown their commitment to both decency and the URT already this year, with Garfthegreat acting as a steward, and Digger67 helping to inform players of the fake race incident which occurred last week. If you wish to make a bet on the URT, you may do so by visiting this forum link and posting your bet in the comments section.
Players can gamble on a multitude of outcomes in the URT, including the winners of the group stages, the overall winners of the tournament, whether the eventual winner will have a certain Driver Skill score, and the number of crashes which will occur during the tournament itself. And to help you decide on which bets to place, the Driver Skill scores of each of the qualifying 36 drivers are posted below.

These figures were correct as of noon on Sunday the 28th of July, and were automatically taken from the Torn authorities as per the rules of the URT - so unless Ched is lying, they're legit. It is known that several participants have increased their skill levels by one decimal point since these were posted, but the numbers nevertheless give you a rough idea of how skilled certain drivers are. As you can see, with just two drivers qualifying from each set of six, some groups are incredibly hard to predict. But if you'd like some extra information on which drivers to look out for, here are our tips for betting during the tournament.
GROUP A
Group A contains four drivers all within six DS points of each other, so it could be tough to predict who is going to come out on top here. The highest-ranked driver in Group A is the_gunners2004, who was the runner-up in 2019's URT Winter Rally. During this tournament, one of his two race wins came at Two Islands, which is the setting for race three of the group stage on the 2nd of August. I'd certainly put money on him repeating the feat next month. Anghel, Baldr and Urbanmenace will keep him honest though, so I don't expect him or anyone to run away with this group.
GROUP B
This is another tough group to predict, with three drivers holding skill scores of 50+ here. Out of this trio, Dilandu has the lowest rank with 50.8, but she does have a strong history in racing and managed to finish fourth in the 2019 Winter Rally. She didn't win any races, with her best place being second at Convict - the scene of race 4 on the 4th of August - but she was incredibly consistent throughout the event, and this could be key to securing qualification. Hammer's reputation also precedes him as the former champion the URT's predecessor the PRC, and he also holds the track record at Convict, the scene for race four. But with a Driver Skill level of 63.9, LumbricuS is Group B's clear favourite.
GROUP C
Group C contains the highest-ranked driver of the competition, Data, whose 71.9 Driver Skill score sets him apart from the others by some margin. But can he transform this skill into a championship victory? Data's best position in recent years was third at the 2019 Winter Rally, where he overcame a slow start to secure bronze thanks in part to a victory at Meltdown, which is the track for race five on the 6th - he also holds the Global track record for Two Islands and Meltdown, the venues for races three and five. Data is joined by 2017's PRC champion and Bugatti owner Stormcast, who also came third in the 2018 Summer URT final. However, close behind these two in terms of Driver Skill are NNWS and Lorg, so don't expect the big names to have it all their own way.
GROUP D
I see Group D as the group of death. Tyrion, the lowest-ranked in his group, was the summer URT runner-up, proving that Driver Skill isn't everything. Fear is also in this group, and he secured fifth in the Winter Rally with two victories in total. Chibuiz's 46 Driver Skill score means he's certainly in with a chance, but the real battle is between ToxicMonkeyMZC and Lindy_Lyson. The former is our defending Summer URT champion, who maintained an incredible 100% record at last year's tournament that will surely never be beaten. But ToxicMonkeyMZC is due a championship win soon. His DS is the highest in this group, and having been runner-up in 2017 and sixth in 2018, he seems to have a knack for reaching the final stages.
GROUP E
This group is very evenly placed, with only a few points separating the top four in terms of DS. Of this group, crabster has the highest DS with 34.2, but I'd pay serious attention to cheekym0nkey if I were a betting man. Cheekym0nkey came eighth out of thirty-six drivers at the Winter Rally, and it could've been higher if he'd maintained his occasional good form throughout the tournament. CM scored three runner-up spots at Stone Park, Parkland and Docks - the latter being the host for race one tomorrow.
GROUP F
Our final group contains the 2017 PRC third-placed driver Nath, whose Driver Skill of 50.3 is good enough for third in this group, behind Archimede on 51.8 and Christmasbazaar on 61.9. The latter is the third-highest ranked driver in the competition, and he was the winner of the 2018 Wuggington tribute organised by the Night Racers. He also holds the second-fastest Global Record time on Docks and the third-fastest at Mudpit, meaning I'd put money on him to have a fast start here. If I'm right, Christmasbazaar could have this group sewn up by race four, with the rest fighting for second place.
The full schedule for the Ultimate Racing Tournament is as follows:

31st July - Mudpit 10pm

6th August - Meltdown 10pm
