Weekly Patch Notes - 02/07/19

Proxima [1879587] —
Let's have a look through the latest Patch List as posted by Chedburn to see what updates, changes, and fixes have been made to Torn this week, and what they mean for you.
Please note, the updates and bugs documented in this article are worked on by a team of developers. Where a single developer is individually mentioned, it simply reflects who confirmed the report as fixed or complete, and not that they were solely responsible.

Updates, Changes and Additions

- Added attack setting for 'Unarmed combat' to select whether to use Fists or Kick.

After a discussion in this bug report by Stente, Chedburn agreed to add an option in "Attack Preferences" to allow users to select between either Fists or Kick if they have it unlocked, to use when defending and unarmed.

- Added ability to quote another post when editing.

Stewie reported here that when editing a post after forgetting to quote, the post is duplicated instead of adding the quote in. The functionality to edit in quotes has now been added to the editor, confirmed as complete by Xepa4ep.

- Updated most navigation icons to SVG for significantly higher quality.
- Improved top header speed & quality by converting to SVG icons & pure CSS.

Icons on the sidebar and along the header bar on mobiles have been converted to SVG style icons.

- Changed "Estate" to "Property" on the mobile top-bar for consistency with sidebar "Properties".

This one is fairly self-explanatory - the link on mobiles to view your property has been changed to be consistent with Desktop view!

Bugs, Fixes and Typos

- Fixed issue with "Available merits" on the "Use your merits" page not including new awards.

DemonCyborg reported here that upon receiving a new reward, one has to refresh the awards page before the "Available merits" total updates on the "Use your merits" page. Chedburn confirmed that he had found the cause of this issue, and that it had been fixed.

- Fixed company employee capacity on profile appearing as 0 when at the level 3 upgrade.

No_yolo_plz reported that the capacity of his company was reading "14/0" instead of "14/14". Chedburn observed that this was an issue solely with the level 3 capacity upgrade, and confirmed it had been amended.

- Fixed faction member count (appearing above the member list) including fallen members.

MightyGoober reported that faction member counts are inconsistent, between the two places that counts are shown on a faction profile, when "Fallen" players are included in the roster. Chedburn confirmed that this was fixed.

- Fixed issue with Opium usage not removing 'Low life' icon.

top0 reported that after taking an Opium to replenish life and get out of hospital, the "Low Life" icon persists when it should not. Chedburn confirmed that this has been fixed.

- Fixed scroll Y gap in Home panels that didn't include it.
- Fixed hover-over titles on the Home perks section just showing duplicate information.

Although unreported, a couple of issues pertaining to the Home page have been corrected. In certain panels (such as "Property information") the vertical scrolling was fixed so that all content can be viewed. Additionally, as perk tool-tips simply repeated the perk information instead of providing something additional, these were removed.

- Fixed fallen players showing "Deserter" title.

Asuran suggested that "Fallen" players should not receive the usual "Deserter" title given to those with substantial inactivity. Instead, Chedburn agreed to change the title to "Citizen" for these players.

- Fixed issue with donator status being lost when using a pack during a specific window with 1 day left.

During a specific window while a script was being run to check the donator status of players, a user happened to use a donator pack in this time as they were at one donator days left. During this window, any users at one day left who received more donator days by using a pack would have their status set to zero days left.

- Fixed quantity in title when mission reward was purchased.

Kamarade reported that when purchasing rewards from the mission page with credits such as 100x blood bags, the text would read "You have purchased a blood bag", leaving it unclear as to whether multiple blood bags had actually been purchased. aurel1 has gone through all mission credit rewards and corrected these.

- Fixed long names breaking formatting on the attacking 'Group attack' panel.

ToxicMonkeyMZC noticed while in a group attack that the "Hits" and "Damage Dealt" section of the attacking panel becomes misaligned for users with longer names. syvat770 has confirmed that this has been fixed.

- Fixed issue with mission decline confirmation not disappearing when selecting a new mission.

Kidboss03 noticed in this thread that when choosing the option to "Decline" a mission, before confirming with "Are you sure you want to decline this contract? Yes or No", if one switches to another mission tab the option to confirm, "Yes or No" persists. svyat770 confirmed that this issue had been fixed.

- Fixed issue with $ symbol before prices after editing item market listings prices.

VictaFunk noticed in this report that the formatting for price numbers was formatted differently when adjusting prices on the item market, as the '$' symbol does not appear. Xepa4ep confirmed this was fixed.

- Fixed issue with adding items to bazaar on IE11.

Iwrench reported that while using Internet Explorer 11, adding items to his bazaar led to a completely blank page. Xepa4ep confirmed that this has been fixed.

- Fixed issue with editing locked threads.

BeerDrinker reported here that some locked threads still have a reply box despite it not being possible to reply. Stewie noted that this was due to the forum editor migration from html to bb code, and Xepa4ep later confirmed this had been corrected.

Typos
1. NCISTony noticed that the description for the bonus provided by "Clips" should be "+1 Extra Clop" rather than "+1 Extra Clips".

2. ManiacKiller21 noticed when adding a single item to his bazaar that the text read "You added 1 items to your bazaar" instead of "You added 1 item to your bazaar".

Honor Bar

This week's new honor bar is "Friendly Fire", achieved by defeating a fellow faction member.
