Weekly Patch Notes 10/12/2019

Let's look through the Patch list for the week of 10/12/2019 to see what updates, changes, and fixes have been made by the Developers, and what they mean for you.
Please note, the updates and bugs documented in this article are worked on by a team of developers. Where a single developer is individually mentioned, it simply reflects who confirmed the report as fixed or complete, and not that they were solely responsible.



Updates, Changes, Removals and Additions


- Added visible passive stat modifiers panel in attacking.

During an attack, you will now be able to see to see the passive stat modifiers of yourself and your opponent. While this change may not be popular for some of the playerbase, Chedburn believes this system will greatly simplify the process, allowing the user to understand what is actually happening during an attack to prevent any possible confusion.


- Added the total cost of the shares required for a stock special to the 'About' tab on the Stock Exchange page.

This change came about after a report by infinity, who asked if the fix from a previous bug report could be reverted due to it removing the ability to see the cost of a stock benefit, without first having the required amount of cash on-hand. However, instead, Chedburn opted to add the current benefit block cost to the 'About' tab after a suggestion by Erbalicous.


- Added additional locking to prevent traveling while being attacked.

It was observed by Slork, upon initiating an attack, their opponent had jumped on a plane at exactly the same time as they initiated their assault, allowing them to escape. Chedburn noted that perhaps a 'redis lock' should be added to ensure this would no longer be possible, which aurel1 has since confirmed to have been implemented.


- Added shorter stat names for touchscreen devices on the Personal Stats page.

MeRocks reported here that the long names for 'Networth' statistics were unable to be viewed due to their length on mobile devices. Chedburn stated there were plans to add a secondary short name for mobile view, which have now been completed for various statistics, including 'Networth'.


- Changed temporary stat boosters to apply their bonuses additively instead of multiplicatively.
- Changed 'Demoralize' weapon bonus to decrease stats from -15% (multiplicative) to -10% (additive).
- Changed 'Frozen' weapon bonus to be additive instead of multiplicative.

- Changed passive stat modifiers on the home page to be an exact representation (includes status effects).

The stat modifers as seen on the Home page next to your battle stats now include an exact indication of your current passives. This includes status effects from recent attacks, such as the passives from temporary stat boosters, or temporary weapons (Smoke Grenade, Flash Grenade, Tear Gas, Pepper Spray, and Sand).


- Removed an old territory war cooldown when claiming an available territory.

An old territory cool down which meant factions would have to wait 7 days before being able to claim a territory after being abandoned or lost has been removed after a report from Midknight.



Bugs, Fixes, and Typos


- Fixed issue with secondary weapon reloading with special ammunition.

prehensile observed that they were unable to use more than 1 clip of their .25 ACP round (Tracer) special ammunition, querying if this was due to not having any standard .25 ACP at the time. This was confirmed by TranQuilizer, who noticed it was indeed only an issue while no standard ammunition was available. It was confirmed by aurel1 the issue has now been resolved, and that there was only an issue with this for Secondary weapons.


- Fixed ammo credit function if target player only had loaned weapons equipped.

An issue which resulted in faction loaned weapons being broken when the system attempted to determine the user's preferred ammo has been resolved.


- Fixed attacking player model layout issue when attempting to attack yourself (or incorrect userID).

akhi11 noticed their attacking model displayed a broken image while attempting to attack themselves while abroad. This was confirmed to be fixed by aurel1.


- Fixed Flamethrower attack log text if it was used to achieve a winning hit.

An issue present with the attack log text when the Flamethrower was used on the finishing hit has been resolved, presumably by aurel1.


- Fixed issue with Rheinmetall MG 3 additional damage decimals.

Adrenalinas observed the weapon bonus (Blindfire) for the Rheinmetall MG 3 displaying decimals in the damage output. This has been resolved by aurel1.


- Fixed Scrooge final attack message when defeated.

Xiphias reported here that after having defeated Scrooge, they received a message displaying they had looted "Scrooge's Topcoat", despite not being listed as a looter in the attack log. aurel1 found that it was due to an old message from the previous year, and it has now been removed.


- Fixed hidden attack log list on mobile/tablet modes.

An issue has been fixed that allows the attack log list on mobile and tablet devices to be visible before the attack is started. This was presumably fixed by svyat770.


- Fixed displaying "Defends total" value on the Personal stats page.

The 'Defends total' statistic now displays on the Personal Stats page after this report by AVOCADO. The fix was confirmed by nikitad.


- Fixed incorrect selected option in the faction news dropdown on mobile devices when going back to the page.

Carl noticed that when leaving the page after selecting a faction drop-down list, going back to the page would show the previously selected drop-down, but display the information from 'Main'. This issue has been confirmed to be resolved by Kopites.


- Fixed an issue where employees would still be paid from their old job shortly after leaving it.

Tash reported here that they had 25 job points after only working at a company for two days. Upon checking the logs, Stewie (along with Chedburn) discovered they had been paid by their old job, including the job points. This was due to them being processed by their old job when leaving during the company crons. Chedburn stated that the issue has now been resolved, and users will be checked individually.


- Fixed an issue where chain end date was incorrect when chain was finished due to raid start.

Kivou observed there being almost a full day between the last attack in a chain and the end timestamp. After checking, Chedburn stated that Kopites (or Sergey) had found 11 chains which had incorrect timestamps due to the initiation of raids, which has since been corrected. For those who aren't aware, any existing chains are forced into a cooldown state in order for chains to be used to their full potential after the initiation of a raid.


- Fixed joining wall delay issue after timeout

A delay noticed when attempting to join a Territory Wall after timeout has been resolved, presumably by Kopites.


- Fixed Russian Roulette actions not updating last action

After a report from MikePence, Russian Roulette will not update last action accordingly. This fix was achieved by aurel1.


- Fixed any players with incorrect maximum life after faction branch unset.

It was noticed by parmo that when placing 55 merits back on 'Life points' after a reset, their Life had only been returned to 7,500, while others in the faction were still at the 8,250 they had previously. Chedburn noted that 7,500 was indeed correct in this situation due to the faction specials having been unset previously, and that the merit reset had likely resolved it for them. A script was also run to correct anyone else that may have had the wrong maximum life due to this.


- Fixed message when using the Fortune Teller at level 100.

After a report from Monkeymia, the message returned when using the Fortune Teller at level 100 has received some minor adjustments by Chedburn.


- Fixed 'Overpowered' game shop special restrictions when happiness is at maximum.

After a report from MauTheWizard, the 'Overpowered' (Game Shop) company special will now allow the use of bulk points for energy and nerve, if the user's happiness is already at the maximum.


- Fixed faction permission 'Full Ordnance Management' to also allow the use of Meds / Consumables / Drugs.

The Full Ordnance Management faction permission now allows the use of Medical items, Consumables, and Drugs after a report from SkinnyPeen.
