Weekly Patch Notes 26/11/2019

Stewie [1494547] —
Let's look through the Patch list for the week of 26/11/2019 to see what updates, changes, and fixes have been made by the Developers, and what they mean for you.
Please note, the updates and bugs documented in this article are worked on by a team of developers. Where a single developer is individually mentioned, it simply reflects who confirmed the report as fixed or complete, and not that they were solely responsible.

Updates, Changes, Removals, and Additions

- Added item inventory search.

The ability to search your inventory for item names has been implemented, allowing the user to quickly find the one they want.

- Added system to prevent members from joining a territory wall if they joined the faction after the war started.

Those who join a faction after a Territory War has been started, will no longer be able to participate. This includes leaving the faction after the war started and later returning.

- Added personal stat 'Special ammunition used'.

A new personal stat, which will record how much special ammunition you have used, has been added.

- Increased quantities of special ammo provided by Companies, Stocks & newly spawned mission rewards.
- Increased frequency of Big Al's Gun Shop's special ammunition stock benefit drops to a 30 day average.

The quantities of special ammunition acquired through companies, stocks and newly spawned mission rewards should now see an increase. Furthermore, after Bogie mentioned that the frequency of BAG payouts was 50 days on average, and would perhaps be changed in the future, this has now been dropped to 30 days.

- Changed all special ammunition drops to prioritise ammo type on currently equipped weapons if possible.
- Changed special ammunition job point costs of Surplus & Inferno to 15 (from 25) and 25 (from 50).
- Changed mission credit costs of special ammunition (reduction).

The "Surplus" (Gun Shop) company special will now provide the user with ammunition relevant to the weapons they have equipped, when possible, after a report from Proxima. In addition to this, the job points cost for the Surplus (Gun Shop) and Inferno (Fireworks Stand) has been reduced to 15 and 25 (from 25 and 50) respectively. Lastly, the cost of special ammunition via mission rewards should now see a reduction.

- Updated attacking stats bonuses system core (to use a new module).
- Refactored attacking mug system (removed old classes and code).
- Refactored attacking stats system (removed old classes, replaced by new module).

In order to ensure 100% consistency, all stat bonuses are being merged into a single system, which the home and attacking pages and attacking system will use. In addition to that, old classes and code - which were used for the old mugging system - have been removed.

- Disabled down-rating threads & posts for new players.

ORAN, in fear of losing their valuable reputation, announced displeasure after receiving illegitimate down votes on their trading thread from a multi with an axe to grind. It was suggested by Chedburn that perhaps downvoting could be blocked on threads and posts for new players, but that ultimately there was nothing that can, nor should be done with it having such minimal effects. However, in a later post, Chedburn stated if was really that important, he would manually sort through the ratings on their thread.

The following day, Chedburn stated that new players would no longer be able to downvote threads or posts, and that 17 suspicious downvotes had been removed from ORAN's trading thread.

Bugs, Fixes, and Typos

- Fixed issue with Keno 'not enough money' error in mobile view.

An issue with Keno, which would not recognize the player as having money on-hand, has been resolved after this bug report from Nollakaks. The report was marked as fixed by aurel1 after having (presumably) been fixed by svyat770.

- Fixed activation of the Deposit / Withdraw buttons while clicking on the input money field on Property Vaults.

The activation of the Deposit and Withdraw buttons when either hovering over them or the input fields, while not having anything typed in, has been confirmed to have been resolved by nikitad after a report from Mitchell.

- Fixed money validation if the user enters more money than on hand on the Church.

Raidriar01 noticed the Church was not correctly validating the amount of money a user has on-hand while entering values, allowing them to enter more than what they have. Upon attempting to donate this, the user would be told they did not have enough money. nikitad has confirmed this is now resolved.

- Fixed input money field validation on the Stock Exchange.
- Fixed display issue with the "$" button on the Stock Exchange in the mobile screen view.

top0 observed the Stock Exchange crashing to a blank screen when attempting to purchase just one share with insufficient funds. It was also noticed that once such an attempt was made, it was then possible to insert invalid inputs — alphanumeric characters, for example. However, with these fixes, the ability to see how much a stock block will cost is no longer possible, with it now auto-correcting to the most you would be able to purchase. Additionally, a display issue with the "$" button on the Stock Exchange has also been resolved.

- Fixed 404 pages for the Wiki.

Presumably thanks to Helcostr's report, the Wiki will no longer display a 404 "Page not found" error when viewing a page that does not exist, and instead, a default page is now provided. Contributors will be given the option to create said page. Additionally, the 550 error that Helcostr was seeing along with the broken login page has also been resolved. The report was confirmed as fixed by vysdel2.

- Fixed an issue / exploit with selling a property after it was added to a trade.

It was observed after being reported privately that while a property was added to a trade, it was possible to then add it to the selling market. To put it simply, there was no check to prevent this from happening, but the issue has now been resolved.

- Fixed bazaar icon not updating when opening / closing bazaars via the Personalize section.

Hemigidius noticed the bazaar icon would not be changed when setting the bazaar's status from the Personalize section. This was resolved by Chedburn.

- Fixed issue causing personal dog tag history not to be correctly displayed at the end of the event.

Cursed_Phoenix observed being unable to view their personal dog tags history at the end of the competition, which was resolved quickly by Xepa4ep.

Typos
- Fixed general typos / grammar.

1. Hemi observed a slight grammatical error upon hovering over the attack button on a developer's profile that has since been confirmed as resolved by Chedburn.

2. It was noticed by instranets the displayed text when overdosing on PCP was missing a space. This was resolved by Chedburn.

3. Flash Grenade, Smoke Grenade, and Sand have had the word "speed" corrected to "Speed" by Chedburn after a report from SuicideTree.

4. After a report from Madolf, Russian Roulette has been added to the Casino page tutorial as a game that does not require the use of Casino Tokens.

API: Updates, Changes, and Fixes

- [API] Added raid and territory war information to 'faction' > 'basic' selection
.

AsciiPixels observed the "war" key being empty, regardless of whether or not the faction is in any territory wars or raids. This was originally noticed by FlamboD2000 in the API Development forum, as mentioned by AsciiPixels in their bug report. Chedburn responded, stating that he had added new systems for Territory Wars and Raids.

- [API] Added player names and current status to company employee selections.
- [API] Added last action timestamps (with relative) to company employees and faction members.

After being reported by Proxima, faction and company members now include a last action "timestamp" and "relative", as it does in the User category. Chedburn agreed to this and the change has been implemented. Additionally, a player's name and status was added to company employees selections.

Christmas Town: Updates, Changes, and Fixes

- [CT] Added Profanity filter for the text fields on CT pages.

The filtering of swear words has been added to the text fields on the Christmas Town pages after Ahab reported the issue here; however, this change had also inadvertently censored the word "shit" as noticed in a General Discussion topic by Quilogy. Bogie later confirmed this was unintended and had been fixed.

- [CT] Added ordering of maps by players amount in the Lobby panel.

The Christmas Town maps lobby is now sorted by the number of players joined, presumably after MikePence observed their map always being at the bottom of the list.

- [CT] Added large Christmas tree objects to the Area Santa's Grotto library.

After a request from TIMinion, larger Christmas Tree objects were added to the library "Area Santa's Grotto".

- [CT] Fixed map chat room duplication on renaming.

Ahab observed the Christmas Town chat boxes would not be removed upon deleting a map with the chat left open. Additionally, a new chat would be created each time a map was renamed. Both of these issues have since been resolved.

- [CT] Fixed displaying the Christmas Town page when traveling.

A layout issue with the Sidebar while viewing Christmas Town when traveling has been resolved after being noticed by ChillySpunc.

- [CT] Fixed overlapping chat boxes with map list in the Lobby panel while scrolling.

MikePence observed chat boxes overlapping with the map list in this thread, which has since been resolved.

- [CT] Fixed borders outside of the map's area.

It was observed by MikePence that border lines outside of the map's area were not automatically displayed. This has since been fixed.

- [CT] Fixed loading Maps in the My Maps page

An issue preventing maps from loading on the 'My Maps' page has been resolved.

- [CT] Fixed displaying 550 error page while navigating to the Parameters Editor page.

An issue which was causing a 550 error to be displayed when navigating to the Parameters Editor page has been resolved.

- [CT] Fixed inability to select the Vertical Wall object in the CT Area jail library.

CRLF noticed the inability to select the Vertical Wall in the "Area Jail" library, which is now resolved.

- [CT] Fixed handling of 403 error messages.

The handling of 403 error messages in Christmas Town has been now been fixed.
