Find out what's been happening in the URT, what's left to come, and how you can win prizes even if you're not taking part!
The Ultimate Racing Tournament: Winter Rally is now three races deep, and already it looks like we have a contender for victory in the form of Archimede, who currently possesses a sixteen-second lead going into the fourth race at Industrial tonight. Consistency is the key to winning the Winter Rally, and with Archimede having achieved sixth, first and fourth in his opening three races, it looks like everyone will be playing catchup for the next few races at least.

The Winter Rally qualifying sessions concluded last Thursday after an action-packed six-day event which saw eighty-seven races run across six different tracks. The URT was indebted to its stewards for generously offering to help put on this event, which ended up becoming the largest qualifying round we've ever run. Thank you to everyone who pitched in to help steward our races, and to those who took part too.
In the end, our thirty-six qualifying drivers came from a range of different skill levels, with Data our top-ranked driver on 76.5, and Jairyll our lowest-ranked driver on 10.3. But as past participants will tell you, your Driver Skill isn't the be-all and end-all, as drivers must also choose the right setup for every one of Torn's sixteen unique race tracks.

Tarun is the competition's over-achiever so far, with his smart setup choices helping to propel him well beyond his tournament ranking of 27th into 7th position overall. He managed an impressive fifth in the opening race at Speedway but somehow managed to top this with fourth at Parkland. He'll be disappointed with 27th-place at Uptown, but Tarun has nevertheless given himself a solid base to build on for the rest of the rally.
Further down the rankings, Data and Hammer have made a slow start to proceedings, with our first and third-ranked drivers currently sat in 21st and 16th respectively. But remember, Data also had a slow start to last year's rally, and he ended up finishing in third overall, so nobody is out of it at this early stage.

This competition also accepts entries in the form of victory banners as well as logo designs, and with only a handful of people having entered so far, you stand a good chance of winning if you enter before the deadline on Sunday February 2nd.

WINTER RALLY RACE WEEKEND
Are you slower than a snail sliming its way through treacle? Don't worry, the URT has prizes for you too! The Winter Rally concludes on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of February, but we'll be running speciality races over the final two days where speed is not the deciding factor. Our full schedule of races and their start times is yet to be determined, but here's what we plan to run so far:
Middle of the Road - Finish exactly in the middle of all competitors
Dead Last - Finish last out of all competitors
Nice - Finish 69th out of all competitors
Each of these speciality races will see the "winner" take home $50 million in prize money, and all are free to enter. You have nothing to lose but your dignity.
