Tiger Day event begins July 28th. Five times the usual hunting experience can be gained. 48-hour event set to end at noon on July 30th.
Have you ever wanted to experience the pathetic thrill of murdering a defenceless creature with a high-powered rifle from a great distance? I know I have. Sadly, the authorities confiscated my M/28-30 after I started reading a book about Simo Häyhä atop my local watchtower. All those tiny little ants waiting to be squashed. It would've been so easy. So, so easy.

Oh well, I'll have to quench my thirst for blood by taking part in Tiger Day instead, which begins at lunchtime on Tuesday!

Animal Hunting is available to all players who are level 15 and above. You can join in with the bloodthirsty fun by travelling to South Africa and paying just $500 and 10 energy for the privilege. There are three types of hunting session available, and each one allows you to track and kill different types of animal. Because sometimes, the wretched squeal of a dying elephant is exactly what you need after months and months of endless monkey screams.

Those who are new to hunting can attempt to take down Buffalos, Zebras, Baboons and Warthogs - that pr**k Pumbaa has had it coming for a long time. Once your hunting skill has increased, you can progress towards killing Giraffes, Cheetahs Hippos and Leopards. And when you've killed enough wild beasts to reach the advanced level, you can murder all sorts of fancy animals, including Rhinos, Lions, and the most prized of all creatures, the smooth, sensual Tiger.

Your hunting skill will increase with each and every hunt, which in turn increases the amount of money you can earn from each session - a maximum of $800k is on offer for the very best hunters. However, growing your hunting skill to such a high level is a long and arduous process, which is why the forthcoming Tiger Day event is so worthwhile.

From noon on the 28th of July to noon on the 30th, the hunting experience you gain from each individual hunt will be boosted by a factor of five. This makes Tiger Day especially useful to new hunters, as your gains are much greater during the first few hunts, whereas they become exponentially smaller as you rise up the hunting ranks. If you've ever wanted to try out hunting, this is the time to do it!

The Wiki for Hunting explains how various job specials can boost your hunting income and reduce energy costs. Furthermore, MightyGoober's Hunting Guide also provides some great advice as to how to set up a hunting trip to maximise your profits and minimise the energy used. So if you haven't got a faction chain or mugging spree planned for next week, why not take the opportunity to visit Johannesburg and slaughter some of God's darling digital creatures.

tl;dr: 5x hunting experience provided from midday 28th to midday 30th of July.
