URT QUALIFIERS BEGIN FRIDAY

24-hour qualifying schedule announced. Qualifiers to be run every hour of the day over intense 4-day race calendar. 48 qualifying spots available.
The URT Qualifying rounds begin this Friday, with the first of four days of high-octane action kicking off with a meeting at Withdrawal in the early hours of the morning. Based on the numbers who turned up for testing there will be heavy competition to qualify for this year's Summer Ultimate Racing Tournament, which is why we've scheduled qualifying races to run every hour for 96-hours straight!

HOW TO ENTER

The URT Qualifiers are open to all drivers of any ability. To enter a qualifier, visit the Race Track and search for a URT branded race under the Custom Events tab. New URT Qualifying races will be posted on the hour and will be marked with the code URTXXQY, with the X's replaced with letters which denote the track, and the Y replaced with a number to indicate the race's position in the day's schedule. For example, the 7am race at Sewage on Tuesday will be called URTSAQ10.

All race codes will be posted in the official URT Qualifying Thread linked here, which can be found in the Racing Forum, where you will also find the names of the stewards who are running each race. Our testing schedule went smoothly, so we anticipate that our stewards will all turn up for their allotted races. If a steward misses a race, or they post a race incorrectly with more than 10 laps, we will endeavour to put on a replacement if necessary - although let's be honest, there are enough already!

Results from non-official races will not be counted, so it is your responsibility to ensure that the race you are entering is legitimate by checking the race name matches the code and that the assigned steward is in the list of participants - they usually appear at the top of the driver list. Unfortunately, some fake races were set up by genuine a**eholes last year. These morons were subsequently punished by the Community Manager, who warns that such behaviour will not be tolerated again.

"Players who set up fake races will be disqualified from existing URT events as well as all future URTs, and potentially all Community Events, and may also receive Federal Jail time on their accounts." - bogie

HOW TO QUALIFY

Out of the hundreds of drivers taking part, only 48 will qualify for the main URT tournament which begins next week. Each of our four qualifying days from the 31st July to the 3rd of August will produce twelve qualifying drivers each. To qualify, you must post one of the twelve fastest times of the day on any one track.

The first race at Withdrawal will open at 11pm tonight, on Thursday the 30th, with the race itself starting at the stroke of midnight one hour later as Friday begins. Another Withdrawal race will open at midnight and start at 1am, with additional races to be run every hour until the day's final Withdrawal race which opens at 10pm and starts at 11pm Friday night. All of the times from these races will be logged, and once the final race is over, the twelve fastest drivers from all of the day's races at Withdrawal will qualify for the URT.

This format is then repeated on Saturday at Parkland, with days three and four held at Sewage and Two Islands respectively. Each qualifying race consists of 10 laps and is open to all cars, all driver levels, and with all upgrades allowed. You may enter as many qualifiers as you like unless you have already qualified, at which point we ask that you do not enter any more.

We will do our best to update the cut-off point for the top twelve times throughout the day via the official URT Qualifying Thread. Drivers who have qualified will be informed the following day. If you qualify, you must be available to race on an almost daily basis when the URT starts on the 5th. The full tournament schedule can be found below:

ESTIMATED TIMES

As ever, it is the time you record over the full 10 laps that is the determining factor during the qualifying rounds, not the position you finish. Many drivers finish 1st in a qualifier but fail to qualify due to the extremely fast times posted in other qualifiers. Having analysed the results of our testing races, we can give you a rough idea of the times you'll need to aim for on each track. These figures are intended as a guide only.
