Summer Tournament set to begin with warmup phase on July 25th. Entry slots and prize pool expanded for biggest ever URT. Stewards and betting assistants required.
The schedule for the Summer Ultimate Racing Tournament has been confirmed, with the event set to begin with a series of warmup races starting on Saturday the 25th of July. Our initial four days of testing will be followed by four official qualifying sessions running daily from the 31st to the 3rd, with the tournament proper taking place from the 5th to the 16th of August.

The URT is a racing competition which is free to enter for racers of any level. The overall winner of the tournament receives a $1 billion prize, a rare Bugatti Veyron, a Gold Racing Trophy, and the usual prizes and ribbons. Our second and third-placed players receive a rare Audi and a Racing Coin respectively, in addition to the silver and bronze trophies, and cash prizes of $800 million and $650 million.

The big news is that this year's event has been expanded, with the number of qualifying spots having been increased from 36 to 48. The other major change is that prize money will be paid out to every single driver who qualifies for the main tournament. Group stage participants can expect to receive a minimum of $50 million, with $150 million, $220 million, and $350 million guaranteed for those who make it to the quarter-final, semi-final, and final respectively.

To test your mettle and give some of our new stewards a practice run, players and drivers are invited to participate in our optional warmup days which will run from the 25th to the 28th. The warmup races will be announced on the 22nd, with the qualifying race schedule posted on the 30th.

The URT is still accepting steward applications for the event, with regular custom racers prioritised over those who are new. If you have some experience of running custom races, please get in touch with me, Sugarvalves, with your availability and typical activity times. We are also looking for someone well-versed in gambling to help Digger67 with the Betting House for the tournament. If you have any other questions about the URT, please forward them to me or post them on the URT racing thread linked here.
