Players may now register for this month's Elimination competition. Registration closes at noon on September 10th. Twelve new teams revealed. Rule changes summarised. Community Events go live.
Elimination registration opened at noon today, allowing players to pick from one of twelve new teams created especially for this year's competition. All of the new team banners can be seen below. Aren't they gawjus?
To register for Elimination, you need to visit the Elimination page by clicking the link in the sidebar, or the link in this sentence if you're lazy. Before you choose a team, you will be required to make five attacks on any players of your choosing in order to prove that you are committed to the event. If you can't manage that, you may as well be playing Farmville.
After you've slaughtered five innocent people, you will have your pick of four randomly selected teams out of our pool of twelve. If you don't like the options you've been given, you can click Pot Luck and be assigned a random team from the six least popular teams at the time. Once you have chosen or been assigned a team, you cannot unchoose it unless you leave the competition entirely, so choose wisely.
Registration closes at noon TCT on the 10th of September. When a team reaches 1,000 members you cannot directly join it, even if it appears as one of your four options. You may be able to gain access, however, by choosing the Pot Luck option, which will also be your only choice if all twelve team rosters are full. The sooner you join, the more options you'll have.
A full calendar of what happens during Elimination can be seen in our previous article on the topic. The main change between Elimination 2020 and previous years is that each team now has 100 lives instead of 30, and once Elimination officially begins at noon on the 11th, the team with the fewest tickets out of all Elimination teams will lose a life fifteen minutes, rather than every hour.
Our new Community Events are also live, each of which will run until the 25th of September. You'll find links to all of them below, and with some rare and expensive prizes on offer worth billions of dollars, each one of them is well worth more than a half-arsed effort.
