World Tourism Day set to begin at noon on the 26th. Double travel item capacity bonus in effect for 48 hours. Bonus stacks with other capacity boosts.
If you're a plushie runner, a flower seller, or a fan of exotic foreign drugs, don't miss out on this weekend's World Tourism Day event, which allows you to return from foreign nations with twice as many souvenirs as usual. And the best part is you won't need any additional lubricant!

World Tourism Day begins midday on Saturday the 26th, and for 48 hours, all passengers returning to Torn will be able to bring back two times as much crap in their luggage as usual. This bonus only applies to players whose flight leaves Torn after 12:00 noon on the 26th and before the same time on the 28th. It doesn't matter when your flight returns to Torn, only that you depart within the 48-hour window.
The standard travel capacity for a player coming back to Torn is five items, which means you can bring back ten items during WTD. However, if you have a suitcase, faction special, job special, stock, or a book which boosts your travel capacity, these capacities will also be doubled, as the bonus is applied once all other boosts have been added. Here is the full list of the ways in which you can increase your overall travel capacity this weekend.
Small suitcase: 2 - increases to 4
Medium suitcase: 3 - increases to 6
Large suitcase: 4 - increases to 8
Airstrip owners: base increased to 15 - increases to 30
WLT Benefit Block: base increased to 15 - increases to 30
3 Star Cruise special: 2 - increases to 4
5 Star Lingerie special: 2 - increases to 4
10 Star Cruise special: 3 - increases to 6
Excursion faction special (maxed): 10 - increases to 20
Smuggling for beginners book: 10 - increases to 20
You can only use one suitcase at a time, with the bonus applying to your highest capacity suitcase. The WLT Benefit Block does not stack with the base capacity boost given by a Private Island airstrip - only one of these two bonuses can be used at once. And obviously, you can only be in one job at once, so you cannot stack the Cruise Line and Lingerie Store specials. However, the rest of these boosts can be stacked, with your total capacity doubled once all other bonuses have been applied. The maximum possible travel capacity for a single trip is 88 items.
An alternative way you can add extra items to your capacity is by working in a 7 Star Flower Shop or Toy Shop. These job specials allow you to take home five extra flowers or plushies respectively, and while these bonuses aren't doubled for World Tourism Day, they will still be applied to your overall allowance once the double boost has been applied. Players in these companies, therefore, have a maximum allowance of 78 items, plus five extra plushies or flowers.

Players can travel during WTD as often as they like, with the bonus being applied to every flight that takes off from Torn before 12:00 noon on the 28th. Of course, how many flights you're able to fit in depends on whether you own an airstrip, how many Business Class Tickets you've saved, and if Natural Selection are planning yet another global lockdown this weekend.
If they weren't before, I bet they are now.
TL;DR: You may bring back twice as much stuff when you fly abroad if your flight leaves anytime before noon on Monday
