Sellers wanted for $1 item event. Register your interest now for a chance to win prizes. Stat enhancers offered for top three sellers.
Torn's annual Black Friday sales event will return next month, with all manner of consumables and collectables on offer across various bazaars for the princely sum of $1. As ever, the success of this event relies upon the number of sellers taking part, so we're putting out a one-month call for participants to register their interest.
In the real world, Black Friday involves waiting out in the cold for the opportunity to trample over strangers in a bid to nab yourself a discounted flatscreen - something the Coronavirus will thankfully put a stop to this year. In Torn City, Black Friday is just as hectic, but with 400% fewer injuries from blunt force trauma, and much larger discounts!

The Black Friday event runs for the entirety of the 27th of November, beginning at 00:00am and ending 24-hours later at midnight, during which time market traders across the city will sell a selection of items for just one dollar each. In addition to player-run bazaars, a number of items will also be sold for a dollar by NPCs and Torn officials like myself. These items will be ultra-ritzy, because we are fancy!
The Black Friday event was first run by Kata back in 2018, followed by an even more successful expanded edition in 2019. This year, Kata won't be taking part in the organisation of Black Friday, but she has given her blessing for the Torn City Times to step in and ensure its continuation. So that's precisely what we're doing right now by making an early call for sellers to register their interest.
If you are an item market trader who wants to take part in Black Friday, please contact me, Sugarvalves, with your name and preferred timeslot for the 27th of November. As usual, the Torn City Times will pay out one Donator Pack to any trader who registers with us and who sells a minimum of 20 items worth $10 million or more in total. This offer is open to anyone with a Bazaar, but you must register with me, Sugarvalves, to receive your reward.
Once the event has finished, your activity logs will be checked to ensure you have met the minimum criteria of 20 items sold which total more than $10 million in value - you don't need to send me your events like last time. And we will also check to see which players have done the most business too, because the three sellers who sell the most items by volume (not value) at $1 to the most individual customers will each receive Stat Enhancers as a reward. Only sales within your timeslot will be counted.

To register, please message Sugarvalves with a short message that indicates your interest in the event and the timeslot you are available. Please put your preferred timeslot IN THE TITLE OF THE MESSAGE. Don't send it to me via chat, just a direct message with your timeslot IN THE TITLE OF THE MESSAGE. Timeslots are available all day, from 00:00 through to 23:30. Each timeslot is 30 minutes long, and it must begin on either the hour or half-hourly mark, i.e. 01:30, 14:00, 22:30 etc. All times are in Torn City Time.
Please note that places are limited and will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis. Initially, we will have 96 slots available. Please consult our current schedule to see if your time slot is available before contacting me.
