Find out who sold the most items for $1 to the most individual customers on Black Friday!
The 27th of November's Black Friday event saw nearly 200 traders sell $1 items to thousands of happy customers, many of whom bagged themselves the bargains of a lifetime by snapping up items worth millions and sometimes billions of dollars. There were also plenty of unhappy customers too, in particular, those who clicked on Duke's $10 billion-valued Rheinmetall MG 3 only to see it disappear before their very eyes.

The event was so popular that many players accused scripters of being prevalent due to the extreme speed at which items were bought up by hundreds of lurkers. Thankfully, Torn's anti-scripting systems prevented bots from being a major issue, and the temporary blacklisting of players who obtained high-value items meant that the discounts were able to be shared among a larger group of buyers than ever before.
Nearly 200 sellers registered for the event, and the vast majority of them turned up and fulfilled the criteria of selling at least 20 items worth a total of over $10 million. We registered four sellers for almost every half-hour slot on Black Friday, and there were only two slots across the entire 24 hours of where more than one person failed to turn up, meaning we had a minimum of two bazaars running every half hour - for the most part it was three or four.
Not including myself or NPCs, there were 174 registered sellers involved in this event who were deemed eligible for a Donator Pack, and these have now been sent. These sellers had an average of 148 unique customers attending their bazaar during their half-hour slot. We tracked this figure because the three players with the most unique customers were set to receive a Stat Enhancer for their efforts. Those players were...

If you are a registered seller and would like to see where you ranked - and in Skittles' case, how agonisingly close you were to the top three - you can view the full table by clicking this link to a Google Sheet. And if you're curious as to how the NPCs did, Leslie had 96 unique customers, Jimmy 204, and Duke had 476 - enough for second place. I personally had 244 unique customers, with at least 10% of them being utter, utter ****holes.
Thank you to our Community Manager bogie for performing the arduous task of collating and analysing the logs for each player's sales during their timeslot. Thank you also to every trader who took part who made this event possible, to Kata for creating the event in years gone by, and to everyone who engaged positively with Black Friday, whether you managed to buy something or not.
And finally, **** you to the person who bought a billion-dollar item for $1 and then complained about being blacklisted. Santa knows who you are, and you're getting jack **** for Christmas this year buddy.
