$45bn-valued item goes up for sale. Hazmat, Dual Samurais, and several collectables also on offer. Auctions end at midnight on the 31st of December.
Duke's Dirty Bomb auction has now begun, with five other high-value items also on offer over at the Auction House. Dirty Bombs are one of if not the most expensive item in Torn City, so this sale could very well result in a new record being set for the highest price paid at the auction house.
The highest fee paid at auction was $52 billion back in September 2015, when Chaos_Greg purchased the unique property St Paul's Abbey - he later sold it privately to Pokey477 for $70 billion. The second-highest fee paid at auction was registered in June this year when Jas paid $30 billion for a set of Dual MP5s. The Dirty Bomb will almost certainly go for more than the Dual MP5s, but will it beat the all-time record? We shall see!
In addition to the Dirty Bomb, Duke has also listed a Hazmat Suit and a Toy Reactor for auction. Hazmats are listed under the Very Rare category as there are just 324 in circulation at present. Toy Reactors are even rarer, with just 17 of these collectable items in existence, meaning they are listed under the Extremely Rare category. Duke's Dirty Bomb is also listed under the Extremely Rare tab, with a worrying 47 of these devices currently in circulation around Torn City.

Pictured: It's more worrying when that number goes down.
In truth, to call this "Duke's" Dirty Bomb is somewhat inaccurate, given that the rotund mafioso did not pay for its construction. This particular DB was actually confiscated from the inventory of itsZahid, former leader of Unrelenting after he was placed in federal jail and his faction deleted earlier this year - the one bright spot in an otherwise crappy 2020.
This is the second high-value item we've taken from Santazahid in recent months, with his Gold AK47 currently on offer as the main prize in the Make a Map Competiton. And while many are a little uneasy at the prospect of Duke suddenly gaining 40 billion dollars, I'm sure Zahid and his brothers are just glad that someone will get some use out of their radioactive property this Christmas.

In the second set of auctions, Duke's henchman Jimmy is auctioning off two collectable items plus a dual weapon. Santa's Elf '09 is under the Very Rare category with just 402 in circulation. In the same category is the Snowflake '05, which has only 117 in circulation. Jimmy's final item for sale is a set of Dual Samurai swords, which is placed under the Limited category as there are 2,465 in circulation.
Each of these six high-value auctions are now underway, and their end-times have been edited to ensure that they all finish at the stroke of midnight on the 31st of December. So if you want to wake up on the 1st of January 2021 with a rare item in your display and a much lighter wallet in your pocket, make sure you place a bid at Duke's Christmas auctions this year.
