Meat Warehouses see boost to profitability and specials. Four other companies also receive minor buffs to nerve-related specials.
Specials at the Meat Warehouse have finally received a long-overdue update, with one boosted special, one brand-new special, and a financial improvement all pushed in order to improve the attractiveness of this unpopular company.

At present, there are only 94 people working at Meat Warehouses, with just 11 companies of this type active at present. Now, in order to draw more directors to the Meat Warehouse industry, their profitability has been raised by an unspecified amount, and their storage capacity has been doubled. Directors will also find it easier to hire employees at the Meat Warehouse, as their specials have been amended to make this company more useful to those of a criminal persuasion.

You will notice from the announcement that the most high-profile change is the removal of the 3* Butcher special, which used to provide a 10% boost to all melee weapon damage. Looking back, a survey of Meat Warehouse employees revealed that Butcher was not highly-valued, as it can already be found at the Restaurant and the Pub, and was deemed more expendable than the other specials on offer. Obviously, the loss of melee damage may come as a blow to some, but at least that blow will be 10% softer than usual.

A replacement for Butcher comes in the form of Blood Spatter, a highly useful special which provides a 50% reduction to all crime experience penalties. Many players know what Crime Experience is, but if you don't, then there's a short explanation. Crime Experience is a hidden statistic which determines how likely you are to succeed at crimes, and it rises as you complete more crimes successfully. A player who is jailed after failing a crime will subsequently lose some crime experience, with higher-level crimes resulting in larger losses than low-level crimes.

Nowadays, the amount of crime experience removed by failed crimes is less than it was, after being reduced last year. The Blood Spatter special will help to lower the risks of being a terrible criminal further since those who fail crimes while employed at a 3* Meat Warehouse will now lose only half as much crime experience from failed crimes as everyone else.

Directors of 1* Meat Warehouses will be overjoyed to learn that Torn has also boosted the 1* special, Blood Thirst, which provides one nerve per job point. In our survey, many Meat Warehouse employees felt that this special was poor value when compared to other company specials. Even so, the nature of the special itself was deemed useful, so Blood Thirst will now provide two nerve per job point - and that's not all.

Yet further changes have been made to several other companies in order to maintain continuity. Extra nerve has been added to the specials available at the Amusement Park, the Firework Stand, and both of the Strip Clubs, with each one paying out 2 nerve per job point instead of 1.
