Racing tournament qualification set to run from 16-19 January. $10 billion prize pool on offer. Event expanded to 48 drivers. Volunteers requested for race steward positions.
The qualifying stage of the Ultimate Racing Tournament Winter Rally 2021 will begin later this month, with four days of high octane action set to take place from the 16th to the 19th of January to determine our qualifying drivers. The Winter Rally itself will then begin on Friday 22nd of January, with sixteen races held over seventeen days, ending on Sunday 7th of February.
This year's event sees the qualifying days reduced from six to four, but the number of qualification spots increased from 36 to 48. This means that our prize pool has also been boosted to over $10 billion, with each qualifying driver set to receive between $50 million and $1 billion depending on where they finish in the event. Our champion will also receive the Bugatti Veyron as their main prize, with second taking home a rare Audi, and third receiving a Racing Coin, in addition to the racing trophies presented to all three of our podium drivers.

QUALIFIERS
To qualify for the URT Winter Rally you must enter our official qualifying races and post one of the twelve fastest times of the day. The first session opens at 00:00 am on Saturday the 16th of January and ends at 23:59 pm the same day. During this session, multiple 10-lap races will be held throughout the day at the Parkland track, with up to 100 racers in each one. At the end of the day, the drivers who have posted the twelve fastest times out of all of the day's qualification races will make it through to the main tournament.
This process is repeated for three further days at three different tracks on the 17th, 18th, and 19th of January. Drivers who have qualified from one track do not need to enter another qualifier. Here are tracks we'll be using for the 2021 qualification event.
Saturday 16th January - Parkland
Sunday 17th January - Speedway
Monday 18th January - Two Islands
Tuesday 19th January - Sewage
It is important to note that only times posted in official URT races will count towards qualification. Official races are those which are marked with a unique URT race code and which are run by an appointed URT steward. These details will be posted in the newspaper and Racing Forum prior to the event, as will the opening times of all of our qualification races.
As ever, the URT is looking for volunteers to help set up the qualifying races in exchange for a small reward. Previous stewards will be prioritised due to their experience, but if you would like to express your interest in contributing to the URT, please contact Sugarvalves today with the following information:
