Sports Sneakers, Snow Cannon, Platinum PDA, and Private Islands all on offer in our latest Easter Competitions. Rare collectibles also available via auctions and a mega-raffle.
It's Easter and that means it's time for a rash of ritzy competitions that payout obscenely expensive prizes in return for a bit of baking or drawing. But that's not all, because this year, we're also running a raffle and some auctions where you can win rare and expensive items too! Let's find out what the hell is going on, why this, who what, and how you can enter.

PRIZE POOL COMMUNITY EVENTS

Each of our three prizepool competitions will run from today until the 25th of April, with the top three winners given the chance to pick from Gold, Silver, and Bronze prize pools. Before we tell you what we want you to do, here are the prizes you'll get to choose from if you win - because we know that's all you care about you salivating vultures.

Gold prize pool:

  • Sports Sneakers
  • Snow Cannon
  • Hazmat suit
  • Platinum PDA
  • A radioactive parcel full of cesium-137

Silver prize pool:

  • Welding Helmet
  • Official Ninja Kit
  • Devil Toy
  • Mystery Box
  • Single White Rose

Bronze prize pool:

  • RPG Launcher
  • Dual Axes
  • Dual Samurai Swords
  • Factions Coin
  • Boxing Gloves
The first contest eligible for a prize pool pick is the Easter Art Competition, where we'd like you to draw or paint a scene involving our latest NPC, the Easter Bunny. Only one entry into this competition is allowed, so you'd better make it good. Try to use your imagination with this one and depict this cute little freak bouncing around the city doing his little bunny deeds - whatever they may be.

The second prize pool contest is the Easter Baking Competition. We want you to make or bake something worthy of the showstopper round in the Great British Bakeoff, a spectacular-looking creation that would wow the judges - instead of the usual food competition entries that make us worry about your home life. You can enter three items into this contest, but we would encourage you to put all of your eggs into one basket and make a really good effort on one of them.

The final prize pool contest is the Easter Egg-Painting Competition, which asks entrants to depict a recent Torn or real-life scene via the medium of eggs. Most people choose to paint boiled eggs for this competition, but if you manage to incorporate scrambles or fried eggs we'll be very impressed. You can enter this contest only once, and you must use a minimum of three eggs.

EASTER ISLAND GIVEAWAY

One competition that is not eligible for a prize pool pick is Duke's Easter Island Giveaway, for the simple reason that the top three will receive a fully-upgraded private island as their main prize.

For this event, Duke wants you to record a 30 to 60-second video of yourself pleading and begging for a private island. You may appear in costume or disguise if you want to, but you must be physically present on camera to present your argument. Duke wants you to be as pathetic as possible here, as he will be choosing the winners based on how much your needy little begging videos make him wince.

EASTER AUCTIONS AND RAFFLE

On the very first Easter Sunday, Jesus famously rode a horse called Alan the Bountiful through the forests of Nottingham to distribute half-price Easter Eggs to some tramps outside Sainsbury's. In Torn, we believe that both rich and poor people deserve to get something nice this Easter, so we are running a series of auctions and a raffle to get rid of some confiscated rare items we’ve recently got our hands on.

The following items will be put up for a 10-day auction on the 16th of April, with the auctions all ending at midnight on the 25th of April.

  • Horse Collectible
  • Chocolate egg ‘05
  • Hazmat Suit
  • Nothing This item is untradable and will be replaced
  • Church Coin
  • Riding Crop

And for Torn's more broke-ass citizens, we’re running another free-to-enter Lucky Dip competition similar to the one run by Duke last year. All you need to do to enter is post an interesting Torn fact that you've made up in this Lucky Dip Thread. Just like the people who fell for our IQ April Fools, it's that simple!

Once the competition has closed, our random number generator will pick out over a hundred winners from those who have entered - the quality of your entry has no bearing on the outcome. You may enter this competition only once, and we automatically disqualify anyone who enters twice or more. There will be over a hundred winners in total, and here are just some of the prizes that you could take home.

  • Dual MP5s
  • Hazmat Suit
  • 100 x FHC
  • Stat Enhancer
  • Rotten Eggs
  • Business Class Ticket
  • 10x Cesium-137

The Lucky Dip, and indeed all of these competitions, will run until midnight on the 25th of April. Good luck, and don't forget to leave a plate of steamed clams on your radiator this Sunday night for Alan the Bountiful Easter horse.
