THE JUSTICE LEAGUE RETURNS

Start your engines and gather your pink bras because it is almost time for the Justice League Tournament, the biggest player-run racing competition in Torn!
The Justice League Tournament (JLT) is back for its third-ever edition! Beginning next week, the JLT is a free-to-enter racing competition run by the players. This event is open to drivers of any skill level, so why not join us down at the race track for the chance to win amazing prizes and potentially join Data and Storm1968 in the exclusive "JLT winners club.”

If you've never raced before, now is the perfect time to start, as JLT's unique 7 league structure means that all players have the chance to win big, no matter what their racing skill is. Here's how the tournament works.

THE FORMAT

Each driver will be assigned a group based on their racing skill level. Once this has been done, all drivers will race once a week against the other members of their group. Races begin on the 19th of April. The specific day on which you race depends on which league you have been assigned.

MONDAY - League 0 - Class E - B + any RS (STOCK E ONLY)
TUESDAY - League 1 - Class A + RS: ≤9.99
WEDNESDAY - League 2 - Class A + RS: 10~19.99
THURSDAY - League 3 - Class A + RS: 20~29.99
FRIDAY - League 4 - Class A + RS: 30~39.99
SATURDAY - League 5 - Class A + RS: 40~49.99
SUNDAY - League 6 - Class A + RS: ≥50

The main stage will last for seven weeks, with the top racers in each league going through to Championship week. If a league contains more than 60 participants, it will be split into smaller subgroups - these groups will race together for 5 weeks, with the top five in each group entering two weeks of race offs to determine our league champions.

Based on our previous Justice League Tournaments' popularity, this will likely happen in leagues 0, 1, and 2. In all of the other leagues, everyone will race together for the full 7 weeks. Championship week will start on June 7th where the best of each league will come together for seven days of racing to determine the Spring 2021 Justice League Tournament champion!

HOW TO ENTER

Entering the JLT is simple. All you need to do is take a screenshot of your username, class, and your Racing Skill. Then you may either:

1) Send this in an in-game message to Jairyll, LordofFire, or Indolent
2) Post in our forum thread here
3) Post in the #jlt-rs-screenshots channel of the Pit Stop discord channel
4) Send a private message to any of the organisers or moderators on the Pit Stop

You can find your Racing Skill score in the top left of the Racing Screen or on the Home Page under the Skills panel. The sign-up period ends at noon TCT on Saturday the 17th of April. Please only register once using one of the registration methods listed above.

TOURNAMENT ETHOS

While we have our amazing organisers to thank for creating the JLT, it would not be the success it is today without the support of the Torn community. The JLT is run entirely on player donations of all kinds. If you would like to donate anything to the prize pool, please send them to Jairyll, Indolent or LordofFire. 100% of donations will go to prizes, and all donations are appreciated. A full list of donations received will be posted in the forum.

In the Autumn JLT, we had 570 racers participate, and we gave out ~$5.4 billion worth of prizes. These prizes were not just given out to the winners; the organisers treated racers to RNG prizes in every single race. Hopefully, this edition will be the best one yet! For further information and updates throughout the tournament please go to the forum post here.

Good luck everyone!

THE PIT STOP

Lastly, I would like to tell you about the PIT STOP discord channel. The pit stop is the unofficial home of Torn racing and is run by the JLT team. It is the perfect place to meet your fellow competitors, hear about new events and get advice on racing. During the tournament, we will be setting reminders when races open. The community on the Pit Stop is friendly and I can honestly say they are the main reason I fell in love with Torn. I’d highly recommend that all Torn racing fans check it out! For more details, please go here.

TL;DR Registrations for JLT are open till April 17th.
