Find out who won October's comic prize, who earned a runner-up spot, and a few tips to keep in mind if you want to be in contention for November's $100m cash prze.
YuiAragaki has won October's comic competition for the very first time. Their piece was chosen by Lt_Wolf out of a highly competitive field, with the Trick or Treat competition featuring heavily in last month's entries. But it was YuiAragaki's comment on faction life that was deemed the best of October's entries, and they take home a $100m cash prize for their efforts.

Lt_Wolf has picked six comics from last month's selection to receive the $10m runner-up prize. Here are the comics that were good enough to receive a tenth of the top prize. That's not harsh, it's just maths.

There are two more weeks left of November, so you still have plenty of time to be eligible for this month's comic prize. Here are a few tips I've put together based on what I've received and what I'd like to receive over the coming month:

  • Do consider current events as a theme, such as Monarch v SA, Ranked Warring, or Torn's recent Anniversary.

  • Don't just draw a thing that happens in Torn without adding your own spin on the event.

  • Do try writing about forthcoming events too, such as Black Friday, World Population Day, or Christmas.

  • Don't write comics about the art of writing comics. We get these every week. I get it, you can't draw. Try harder.

  • Do try to think about your use of color and layout when composing your comic.

  • Don't just posterize an image you found on the internet and pretend it's a comic. You know who you are.

  • Do try and keep the dialogue brief and to the point. Nobody wants to read an essay.

  • Don't send in a comic without running it past your friends and/or enemies first. They will be honest with you if it's s**t.
