A Christmas Message from the Torn Team
Merry Christmas everyone!

2021 has been a rough ride for many, especially towards the end, with a new wave of corona hopping from house to house like Santa, and unfortunately putting paid to some people's plans for the holiday season. If you're spending Christmas Day by yourself out of circumstance or choice, or you simply want a little alone time while you digest your own bodyweight in confectionary, we hope you'll reach out to your Torn friends and factionmates while you're here today.

Day Three of Duke's Dump Giveaway showed that this is a tough time for some, so if you're going to be nice on just one day of the year, make it this day. One way you can make someone's Christmas a little brighter is by dropping a nice story or a joke in Duke's final giveaway thread. Just try to make your gag PG-13 won't you, as the way some people have responded to Duke's tasks will put you off your Christmas lunch.

Speaking of our community manager, here's a festive message of thanks from bogie (Joshua) to the Torn staff and playerbase.

I firstly want to give a huge thanks to everyone in Torn who has been a part of the game this last year and helped make it what it is, and a special thanks to our amazing staff team, you all do such a great job and I am so very proud to work alongside each and every one of you. Our wiki team and our player committee also, thank you guys for your hard work this last year in keeping on top of everything new we've thrown into the game these last 12 months.

We cannot wait to see what 2022 will bring, and I truly look forward to being your community manager throughout it, each day is unique but we hope to continuously improve the game whilst all having fun along the way. Merry Christmas everyone.

Joshua, Torn Community Manager

If you'd like to see what kind of year Torn's Moderators, Helpers, and Officers have had, then look out for our Aunty Torn Staff Special coming out in a few days' time. But before that, make sure you keep a close eye on your City Map, as Christmas Crackers and Party Poppers have a chance to spawn for all players for the duration of Christmas Day. These items will both spawn throughout the 25th in the locations indicated by the tumble dryers below.

Once you've checked your map, don't forget to take a festive stroll around Christmas Town, join in with a Scrooge loot, bid on some festive items down at the Auction House, or make an entry for one of our Christmas Community Events! And if you're lucky enough to be spending time with family and friends, why not rope them into helping you with your Christmas Wrapping rap? They might think you've lost your mind, but they'll understand once you explain that you're doing it for a digital Prince Philip Mask.

Speaking of royalty, the final word in our Christmas message must of course go to Torn's founder, a man who has blessed us with many great updates and improvements to our City this year, HRH King Chedburn.

To all of our players, we here at Torn HQ extend our warmest wishes over this festive season. To me, this has felt like the shortest year ever, yet it's undoubtedly been one of our most successful. We've made huge amounts of progress in all areas, and it's been packed full of more releases than ever before.

I'm confident that 2022 will be even better. We'll be expanding our core team of developers further - for once, turning our eyes towards our playerbase to find new talent. We'll be starting a whole new set of projects while also finishing off other long-term projects. We'll also likely be expanding our advertising reach, inviting new players to come and join our big family here.

To all of you, thank you for your support, your positivity, your loyalty, and occasionally your patience and understanding. We have an incredibly special community here that we should all be grateful for, one that's like no other, that only seems to grow not only in quirkiness, but also in love and friendship.

Merry Christmas everyone, and have a Happy New year!

Chedburn, Torn Founder
