Entry races for billion-dollar racing tournament open at 00:00am TCT on Friday. Four days of qualifiers set to determine 48 tournament drivers. Qualifiers free to enter for all.
The qualification stage for the Ultimate Racing Tournament Winter Rally begins in the early hours of Friday morning, with the first of 46 daily races set to open up at 00:00 TCT. The full qualification schedule for each day can be seen via the link below:
URT WINTER QUALIFIERS
To enter a qualifier, all you need to do is head over to the Race Track just before the hour mark, visit the Custom Races tab, and join any races with gold flair that have spots available. Each race will begin roughly one hour after its scheduled open time, and there will be two qualifying races posted at every hour of the day except 11 pm. Most races will fill up within minutes after being posted, so make sure you arrive early if you want to claim a spot!
Please make sure that the qualifier you are entering has been set up correctly, as while many of our stewards are experienced, we do have a few rookies working with us this time, and mistakes can often be made. To be eligible for qualification purposes, the race you enter must have gold flair, run over 10 laps, be open to all cars and upgrades, have no password, allow 100 drivers, and be run on the correct track. If you find yourself in a race without these attributes, please leave and join one that does.
These are the four tracks we are using over the course of the qualifying weekend:
Friday 14th January - Uptown
Saturday 15th January - Hammerhead
Sunday 16th January - Industrial
Monday 17th January - Mudpit
To make it through to the main tournament, drivers must post one of the fastest twelve race times of the day on one of these tracks - winning a qualifier is not the determining factor. You may continue entering as many qualifiers as you like until you have qualified, at which point you will be notified and asked to refrain from entering any further races.
Our twelve qualifying drivers will officially be announced once the final qualifier for each day has been run at 23:00 TCT, but you can follow the URT Qualification Thread to see the current fastest times as and when they are updated.
MAIN TOURNAMENT
The Winter Rally edition of the URT differs from its summer variant in that there are no groups or knockouts. Instead, all of our 48 drivers will race together once a day for sixteen consecutive days, taking in every single one of Torn's race tracks in the process. Each driver's time is added together gradually over the course of the tournament, and after the sixteenth and final race at Stone Park, the driver with the lowest cumulative time is crowned our Winter Rally champion.
Drivers who miss a race receive the slowest finishing driver's time plus a penalty of 1%. Drivers who crash during a race receive the slowest finishing driver's time plus a penalty equivalent based on their race percentage remaining. For example, if a driver crashes out with 40% of the race left, they receive the slowest time plus 0.4%.

There is a $10 billion prize pool on offer from the URT this year, with the 48th-placed driver receiving $50 million, and the winner taking home $1 billion plus a Bugatti, a Gold Racing Trophy, and the usual prizes and ribbons. We will also be running a number of big money prize races over the final weekend of the 5th and 6th of February, with these races open to all players regardless of skill level. Look out for further details of those in early February.
