Spring 2022's edition of JLT has hundreds of participants registered already. With billions in prizes to be awarded, why not try your luck in one of Torn's largest player-run racing tournaments?
The fifth edition of the Justice League Tournament has arrived! This player-run racing tournament is open to racers of all skill levels, even those just starting out, and entry into the tournament is completely free! The deadline for registration is this coming Friday, April 29th.

What is the JLT?
One of the largest player-run racing tournaments, JLT was created in early 2020 and has since handed out prizes totaling approximately $16,082,000,000. The fourth edition had over 800 racers and saw over $4,077,389,282 in cash or items paid out. Prizes are awarded for a variety of achievements, including the best lap time in a race, and others that are decided through simple RNG!
Prizes are paid out to the winners too, of course, but rewarding lower-ranked drivers is a huge part of the JLT's ethos too. There are many areas in Torn where only the elite are recognized, and this can prove disheartening to those who are lacking experience. The Justice League Tournament aims to remedy that, allowing racers of all levels to compete with their peers and be rewarded fairly for their efforts.
The Format
During the qualification phase, racers are sorted into leagues based on racing skill, meaning you will only face drivers whose racing skill is within a few points of your own. There are seven leagues in total, all except one requires you to be a Class A driver. League 0 is the only exception to this rule, with this division featuring stock E races only, and has no racing skill limit. All other participants will be free to use their partially or fully-upgraded cars from any class.
Once registration has closed on the 29th, the leagues will be determined and the first races of the qualification phase will begin on Monday, May 2nd. Qualification runs for 7 weeks, with each league racing once a week until June 12th. Races in the Qualification Phase are 50 laps each and open at least 10 hours before beginning, so even the busiest racers should find an opportunity to join.
MONDAY - League 0 - Class E - B + any RS (STOCK E ONLY)
TUESDAY - League 1 - Class A + RS: ≤9.99
WEDNESDAY - League 2 - Class A + RS: 10~19.99
THURSDAY - League 3 - Class A + RS: 20~29.99
FRIDAY - League 4 - Class A + RS: 30~39.99
SATURDAY - League 5 - Class A + RS: 40~49.99
SATURDAY - League 6 - Class A + RS: ≥50
To account for uneven distribution in racing skill and therefore league size, leagues will be divided such that no group has more than 70 racers. If your league is split into groups, it means that you do not need to be top 3 in all of League 2 to move on, but only beat out the rest of the racers in L2-B, for example.
The top 3 racers from each group then move on to the Championship Week, which begins on June 13th. This part of the tournament sees all qualifying drivers race daily until the winner of the Justice League Tournament is crowned on Sunday, June 19th.
How Do I Join?
Now that racing skill is a public statistic, the technologically challenged among us will find registration much more simple. There are three ways in which you can register, all of which are completely free:
How Do I Donate?
The JLT aims to give all participants, even beginners, a fair chance at winning a prize. As a completely player-run tournament, we rely entirely on donations to fund the prizes we distribute. All donations are greatly appreciated and 100% go directly to prizes. You can see a full account of donors and their contributions in the forum post.
Should you wish to support the Justice League Tournament and the racing community, donations can be sent directly to Jairyll or Indolent. Those who cannot donate are still invited to register, race, and participate in the racing community through the forums and Discord.
tl;dr: Registration for the Justice League Tournament closes at midnight on the 29th of April.
