Defense and Dexterity enthusiasts encouraged to work at revamped Gents and Ladies Strip Clubs. Happiness, Melee defense, and Temp Injectable buffs provided by new array of specials.
Torn’s Strip Clubs have finally received their long-awaited upgrade today, with several new specials introduced in an effort to boost the popularity of these flagging companies.
The Naked Truth
Gents and Ladies Strip Clubs are the second and sixth least popular company types in Torn City, with just 230 people employed in these two industries combined. At the time of writing, there were just 20 active Gents Strip Clubs in operation, 9 of which were 10-star establishments. There were also 28 Ladies Strip Clubs running, and only 10 of these held the maximum 10-star status.
While the number of Strip Clubs overall is on the low side, the proportion of these firms running at ten stars is actually quite healthy. However, when you look at the makeup of the original specials, it becomes clear that working at anything but a 10-star Strip Club is quite pointless, and their inability to attract employees is one of the main reasons why few people choose to run one.
Gents Strip Club
1* Happy Hour - Money (1)
3* Free Drinks - 2 nerve (1)
5* High Heels - Pair of high heels (500)
7* Dancer's Flair - 25% passive dexterity (0)
10* Aspiring Workout - 10% dexterity gym gains (0)
Ladies Strip Club
1* Happy Hour - Money (1)
3* Free Drinks - 2 nerve (1)
5* Thong - Thong (300)
7* Hench - 25% passive defense (0)
10* Aspiring Workout - 10% defense gym gains (0)
While the 7-star Hench and Dancer’s Flair are useful specials, they are not enough on their own to attract a consistent workforce. This is especially true if the company is below 10-stars, where players can earn more permanent buffs through the use of the 10% dexterity or defense gym gains provided by Aspiring Workout. The 5-star specials are also not that useful, especially at the Ladies’ club, where 300 job points will give you a cosmetic item in the form of a Thong.

And while the Pair of High Heels provided by the Gents’ club can be sold for tens of millions of dollars if you find a good pair, a lower quality version isn’t all that valuable when you consider the 500 job point cost. The ratio of money and nerve provided in exchange for job points at the two club types is also poor when compared to other company types, and this is just one of a number of reasons why Strip Club workers rarely see more than a few months of employment.
A Quick Thrill
This poor array of specials means that Strip Club employees are transitory, with book users often stopping by temporarily to further boost their gym gains. The Gents Strip Club has it slightly harder than the Ladies when it comes to finding employees since only women may work in the Stripper positions here, with only men able to hold the same position at the Ladies Strip Club. In Torn, men outnumber women by 85% to 15%, so Gents Clubs will always find recruitment a tough ask.
This imbalance is compounded further by the fact that the defense gains offered at the Ladies club are more popular than the dexterity gains provided by the Gents. Nevertheless, we found that both clubs face an equal struggle when it comes to making money, with one director found to have been paying a billion in advertisements despite their firm making just $13 million a week. Of course, this vast overpayment isn't something Torn can or should ever try to address, since a company's advertising costs are determined by how much everyone else is willing to pay.
Our research indicated that both Strip Club types also struggled with offering wages to workers if they were under 10-star status. At the time of writing, median pay was $50k at a Gents club and just $35k at a Ladies Club - The average income per employee is $324k at a Gents Club and $288k at a Ladies Club. With startup costs of just $5 million each, these companies are never going to earn enough to pay the big bucks, so raising their income streams was never really a viable option.
If we are to help raise the popularity of the strip club, we’d have to provide some useful niche specials instead.
Fresh Talent
A number of new specials were considered and rejected for our revamp of the Strip Clubs, with the most obvious omission being the provision of a Strippogram Voucher as a saleable in exchange for job points. These items are temporarily given away on Torn’s birthday via the City Map, but after careful analysis, we decided that they were simply too powerful to be generated permanently due to their lack of a cooldown.
Instead, we have decided to turn the two Strip Clubs into specialist training and fighting hubs, with Dexterity and Defense prioritised at the Mens and Ladies clubs respectively. The original 1 and 3-star specials have been removed entirely, with both clubs now providing 50 happiness at 1-stars in exchange for 1 job point. The 25% passive boosts to Defense and Dexterity have been renamed, but they function entirely as they did before, except they are now available at just 3 stars.

5-star Strip Clubs will now provide a brand new special that offers a 50% boost to the effects of two temporary injectables. Gents Strip Club employees can use the 5-star passive Supple to increase Tyrosine’s 500% Dexterity buff by 50%, allowing users to gain a 750% buff to Dex for 180 seconds instead of 120.
The Ladies Club similarly boosts the effects of the 300% Serotonin buff by 50%, giving users a 450% Defense bonus for 180 seconds instead of 120. The 25% life increase provided by Serotonin is similarly buffed by 50% to 37.5% while working at a Ladies Strip Club. Both of these special buffs stack with the 10% boost provided by the SPT2480: Sports Medicine education for a potential increase of 60% effectiveness overall.
At 7-stars you’ll find the original 10-star gym gain specials, albeit renamed as Pilates and Boxercise at Gents and Ladies respectively. These powerful 10% boosts to Dexterity and Defense Gym gains are no longer the preserve of 10-star Strip Club employees, and we feel this should help to attract a greater number of players to come and work in this industry, which in turn should allow more Strip Clubs to exist as a viable business below 10-stars.
The final special available at the Strip Clubs provides a passive debuff to enemy melee attacks, albeit in two different ways depending on what the strippers have between their legs. The women working at a Gents Strip Clubs will enjoy the No Touching special that gives all enemy melee attacks a 25% chance to miss. And as for the Lads working hard at the Ladies Clubs, the Hardbody special means that damage from enemy Melee attacks will be reduced by 30%. Here are the new Strip Club specials in full:
Gents Strip Club
1* - Happy Ending - +50 happiness per job point
3* - Dancer's Flair - 25% passive dexterity (0)
5* - Supple - 50% Tyrosine effect & duration (0)
7* - Pilates - 10% dexterity gym gains (0)
10* - No Touching - 1/4 chance of dodging incoming melee attacks (0)
Ladies Strip Club
1* - Hot Flush - +50 happiness per job point
3* - Hench - 25% passive defense (0)
5* - Hormonal - 50% Serotonin effect & duration (0)
7* - Boxercise - 10% defense gym gains (0)
10* - Hardbody - 30% reduced damage from incoming melee attacks (0)
