Find out whose comic won the Economist's Prize for May, which player nabbed a runner-up spot, and how you can improve your chances of winning the $100m comic prize this month!
NomadZonka has won the Economist's Comic Prize for May after making our judge Lt_Wolf "chuckle like a moron" with their low-fi interpretation of the flying mechanics.

NomadZonka takes home $100 million for their work, and a further six players will receive $10 million after placing in the runner-up spots. Yet again, we've seen a high standard of comics sent in recently, with entertaining concepts and high-quality artwork making Lt_Wolf's decision harder every month. But top-drawer drawing skills and good ideas aren't always needed to win over Torn's economist, it seems.
"One of them was so bad it made me laugh, but I won't disclose which." - Lt_Wolf

This Month's Comic Tips
- Blood Donor Day has already passed, but I'll accept comics on this topic until the end of the month. Dog Tags comics are also acceptable, as are Mr and Ms Torn-themed strips.
- There are a few recent updates that could prove fertile ground for a comic story. Big Al is reportedly getting a bunker, New Player Chat has kicked all the old folks, and factions can now dish out nerve.
- Torn was taking staff applications earlier this month. Are there any players you think would be inappropriate for the position? Why not tell the story of bogie having to deal with their application?
- Try to ensure that your comic makes sense to a casual Torn player. I've had a few sent in lately that closely resemble the scrawlings of a deranged lunatic. If I don't get it - and I've been here a while - most people won't either.
- Remember last time I said that one-panel comics have to be really good to make it through? That also applies to two panel comics where both panels are virtually identical. You can't trick me, people of Torn. I have eyes.
