SA and PT Set For Termed War

sugarvalves [1963573] — Top HoF ranked factions in talks to square off against each other in post-Elimination tussle. SA Council member risks early war with rogue movement operation. Subversive Alliance and PT-Family are close to agreeing conditions for a termed war. Xanty, PT's leader, confirmed this story to the Torn City Times. "It’s 1v1 PT-Family vs SA main, it’s a termed war so we can measure our faction progress against the former #1 and still #2 HOF. Everyone reckons SA is beastly, so they will a really hard challenge to us." - Xanty, PT leader. A war between PT and SA will be highly anticipated by many, including those within the ranks of SA, who will be keen to show that April's defeat to Natural Selection was a mere blip. But this war almost started ahead of schedule last Friday, when Subversive Alliance's Ohadik took matters into his own hands in an attempt to force the issue. An anonymous source contacted the TCT to tell us what happened. "Ap...

Did JFK Pay Off Bounty Depot?

sugarvalves [1963573] — Insider at mass bounty service reveals $1bn payment received for JFK bounty immunity. BD owner confirms agreement, denies receiving payment. Z_junior rejects entire premise of interview. The Torn City Times has been informed that the JFK faction has paid $1 billion to Bounty Depot in return for a lifetime moratorium on contracted bounties against them. Pictured: The payoff may have also been accompanied by a cute, hand-written note, like this. Bounty Depot is a privately run outfit that offers Torn citizens the chance to place hundreds of anonymous bounties on their opponents via third-party players. BD is not the only such service available - as many pedants have pointed out to me in recent months - but they are the most well-known, having placed over 60,000 bounties since their creation in 2020. Run by LarryStooge, Bounty Depot describes itself as "the greatest stealth weapon in the game" , but is this claim now questionable with news of their s...

Who smelt it dealt it: "dirty bomb"

Swatsicle [1593313] — Read Swatsicle's account of how he managed to achieve one of Torn's rarest and most expensive merits on the cheap and on the sly, and how he almost got away with it! It is no secret that I am a slut for merits. The rarer, the better. If we aren't counting the awards nobody has achieved yet (for upgrading your Halloween basket to Nightmarish, and for participating in a 100,000 length chain), then the rarest merit one can achieve in Torn is Shredded, for hitting 100 billion in total stats, which only 40 people have achieved thus far. Pictured: The 10 rarest attainable merits (currently), ordered by most rare first. #2 and #3 are achieved by using a dirty bomb. Source: Torn API through yata.yt The second-rarest merit, or should that be merits, are the dual awards given out for dropping a Dirty Bomb. Slow Bomb and RDD are awarded to any player who strikes a faction with a DB, but with these devices going for anywhere between $40-60 billion depending on ...

Citizens, welcome, for I Pastor Williams hath returned to bestow wisdom upon your gaping souls. My confessional inbox has been a-frothing of late, with wave after wave of fresh sin lapping at my blessed feet. The summer months are ripe with wrongdoing, as flesh is bared, booze imbibed, and poor judgment becomes commonplace. There is no better time to heed the words of the Lord, whichever Lord you choose to follow. Feast your eyes upon this month's sins, and learn the lessons these fools never did. "Father I repent for I have committed the sin of lust ?. I have been simping for the past 4 weeks for a fake female user by sending her erotic DVDs on her daily request for a "Netflix and Chill" ?. Father forgive me, for I was lonely." The Pastor's Response "Sexually progressive cultures gave us literat...

On the 23rd of February 2021, our Lord and savior Chedburn released an update that would fundamentally change the revive and medical system. Six months on, the Torn City attacking scene is now markedly different from what it was before this update. In this article, we're going to look at how those changes have bedded in half a year on from their introduction. We'll look at revive prices, warring statistics, and hear the opinion of faction leaders to see what effects the new medical system has had on warring in Torn City. We'll begin with a short recap of the major changes made back in February. THE CHANGES The Revive System Previously a reviver (defined by someone who had completed the medical city job) could use energy to instantly take someone out of the hospital. These revivers would then genera...
